well I knew that and it seems most of everyone else knew that. But a few choice fans of yours played down the crowd draw of Leeds.
I go to games that I can get to with work committments so have never developed a big game mentality. Can't get to Leeds game, but surely (apart from the away fans) the large gate is due to it being the 1st Championship game of the season and is not related to the opposition. Leeds were a big club when I was little, but do they have charisma now? Not in my house.
Went to get my tickets today, only block 11 in Itchen, 27 in Kingsland and parts of the Chapel are available. So it appears there's going to be a solid crowd of roughly 27,000
Bollocks, we still bring out the crowds. It's why everywhere we go we give teams their highest gates. Sorry, you can argue all you want, but it's fact.
To be fair, Leeds were by the far the biggest club in the division that year. Those fans who only attend a handful of games each season were always going to be tempted by that game. Not the case this season, where there are multiple attractions (of which Leeds are just one) - as I've already said in the quote than our Leeds fan has put on here.
I can see that it is our duty, guys and gals, to sell out every League game to prove that 'Leeds United, We don't care about you!'
Mark.......there is going to be a decent gate on Sat. Trust me you will not be the only team that we have a good gate for. So don't flatter yourself. To be fair to you you will draw in more than average but nothing special for us. We had over 30000 last year for little teams like Exeter. So for us Saints you ain't that special.......
