On the BBC text page, it's been pointed out that if it's a high boot, then it should be an indirect freekick, so shouldn't have counted. If it indeed was given for high foot. I haven't seen it. But I didn't realise that high foot is indirect freekick.
High foot is indirect unless there is contact with the player, in which case it is direct.
Still think not bidding Townsend was a huge mistake, he looks dangerous everytime he's on the ball.
That Benteke lad up front isn't a half bad signing either. Who knew he'd go there and score goals, and be an all round handful for defenders in the penalty box?
