    Leeds Utd v Barnsley

    Saturday 1st October 2016 @3pm

    Streaming links to follow.
Garry Monk has a dilemna whether to risk playing Jansson in Saturday's Yorkshire derby against Barnsley at Elland Road.

Jansson hobbled off at half time clutching his hamstring, and was replaced by Liam Cooper. Twenty minutes into the second half Bristol City scored the only goal of the game. There are many that would ask whether we would have kept a clean sheet had Jansson remained fit?

Perhaps Leeds have deliberately kept us in the dark about the extent of Jansson's injury; it might be worse than we think!

It has been reported today that Bridcutt will be out of action for between 6 and 8 weeks. You may recall that he was due to be playing last weekend, but the decision was made to rest him.

Viera and Phillips should fight it out for Bridcutt's place.

Cooper should deputise for Jansson should he not be fit to play unless Berardi is risked which would allow Monk to decide between Cooper and Ayling.

Barnsley stand four places above Leeds having won 5 out of their 10 games, and have lost four times.

Barnsley, after an impressive start, have quelled any curiosity anyone may have had as to the secret of their success by returning to their traditional role as absolutely nobody.

This is a game we should be winning if Garry Monk really wants to show us what he is about. Not saying it will be easy as they are a high scoring team but if we don't win these games we will not be anything more than mid-table.

Only way we win this is if tommy wrights sacking has disrupted their team. So far this year they have looked better than us.

    Morning Everyone,

There's a great piece in todays YEP by Phil Hay regarding Cellino.

    Here are some extracts.

“I don’t want to be the one that breach the rules,” said Massimo Cellino, and when the Football Association picks apart the Daily Telegraph’s sting it will most likely conclude that he hasn’t. No deal was done, no shares changed hands and the governing body is left to ponder the legality of an idea in Cellino’s head.

The FA has requested a full transcript of Cellino’s comments to the Telegraph but Leeds batted the investigation off last night, saying the Italian’s proposal to undercover reporters posing as investors was “a perfectly proper suggestion” and “entirely consistent with the FA’s regulations.” Assuming that Cellino was serious, that suggestion still deserves some analysis.

It might be legal and above board but it looks and sounds unhealthy. It looks like a scenario in which selling players is in the interests of one shareholder. If it is not about football, or solely about football, then the incentive for investors at Leeds should be the inevitable profit through promotion to the Premier League; the unrivalled wealth which comes in tandem.

It would hardly help the club going forward if every incoming transfer fee saw 20 per cent of profit squirrelled away.

Cellino is not accused of wrongdoing in relation to the investigation of Wright and is not involved in that case at all. But Marroccu’s appearance in it is an unhappy coincidence. So is the fact that Cellino enquired about appointing Wright as assistant to a foreign head coach in May, shortly before Garry Monk’s arrival at Elland Road

Where regulations are concerned, Cellino is probably in the clear. More awkward for him is the perception of his appearance in the Telegraph’s investigation. The story is less than flattering and once again it starts the argument about whether Cellino is fit and proper, in the true sense of that phrase. This sting might not damage him but it does not help his cause either.

In the links I put up on another thread, they said Cellino mentioned they could do it the way he described and not be at risk with the FL and FA, his wording suggests no wrong doing and everything was above board.

Having read Ristacs and Billys comments, which made the picture clearer, and inline with what they said, basically, what Cellino was saying is what was happening with GFH, Leeds sell a player and GFH get their cut, which was what Billy said and Ristac said about Master Bates.

I still can't help thinking that the journalists sting was illegal and not authorised by the relevant authorities.

Aren't stings suppose to be legally organised by the police, MI5, CI6 or JP No6 or something?
