Completly different to the original, which is based purely on dodgy football.

But dodgy press trapping people just for a story (forget the sam one).

Are you happy that the press seem to have a free role to do whatever the **** they want, will little payback.

In principal I'm happy with it.
After all the Press can't catch an honest person with a scam.

HOWEVER

That statement just may be a touch naïve.
I see that the journalist who was famous as 'The Fake Sheikh' is now on trial himself for massaging the evidence in one of his stings, (Tulisa Contostavlos).

I have now read the Wiki entry for Mazher Mahmood, (The Fake Shiekh) and it makes uncomfortable reading.

There are plus bits of course such as nailing Freddy Shephard and young Hall in the Spanish Brothel.
But there are some rather dark stories as well. Cases that have been rejected by the Courts.
However of the many cases (25) examined where he has been a witness, only Miss C's has resulted in his own prosecution.

This leaves me in a bit of a quandary thrown back to that famous old Hendon saying, 'Quis custodiet ipsos custodes'.
(For those too posh to have benefited from a Hendon upbringing - Who Guards the Guards).

Ya a total loop. You lose me with ya posh talk.

Do the press stich people up and should it be allowed?

Investigative journalism is a must I know they are dodgy sods themselves and would pimp their grandma for a story but look at all the corrupt b**tards they uncover who wouldn't have been uncovered otherwise

But they are not the law. They trail and condem at their will. Ruining countless lives in the process.

They are underhanded **** stirring ****s, looking to sell papers.

Yeah I can't stand them but the people they're exposing are there to be exposed.

The fact that they're horrid ****s in no way changes the fact that people do stupid, stupid **** they shouldn't... And they get caught out.

Yeah you're wrong mate. Investigative journalism has been going for centuries in one of or another and isn't just about selling papers it's a part of our society's genetic make-up.

It shines a light on a lot of **** that needs a light shining on it.

Still can't stand journalists mind.

The first one I remember (probably millions before though) was when that Donal McIntyre went undercover with the Chelsea firm. Big balls or nee brain?

Ha. I used to frequent that top boys bar. The one who got all the compo for false claims.

Mentalists. They actually named the bar The Dogs Bollocks.

Some ****ty seedy street.

You are pushing at an open door with that statement because The Press are not allowed to 'stitch people up'.

If they do that then they are subject to The Independent Press Standards Organisation.
This replaced The Press Complaints Commission.

We have the example of The News of the World which was closed due to it's phone tapping activities, to show that the Press don't have it all their own way.

What normally happens is people dropping themselves in the mire, usually because of greed, (often with a mixture of stupidity).

Or being stiched up?

There are many things the press report. For nothing more than headlines. That should never get that far.

****ing parasites

So what or who gives the press yo be that ****?
Public interest - in this case if Allardyce had been clean then there would of been a non story - In the case of the phone hacking scandals well that's a different matter (for me an invasion of privacy) they went over the line and should have been horse whipped for it.
