    If they were not permitted to play in Europe the Israeli teams would have no one to play: which rightly or wrongly is why they are allowed to play in Europe Competition

    I thought it was the National team to begin with though? And the reason being to avoid games against neighbouring countries? The club sides just followed with the national team...

    Israel was originally in the AFC but some Muslim nations refused to play them and so a deal was done to let them play in Europe; although this was not greeted unanimously. I remember this decision taking place but I was younger and some years ago now.

    So Puel intends to rotate for every competition...none of us would expect many changes for the Europa. Shows his faith in the squad and means that more players will get valuable game time. May leave us less susceptible in cases of injury as the season progresses. Proof of the pudding etc.
