tbf the FA have been pretty good on these sorts of things in the last few years, especially in comparison to FIFA and UEFA. Their only downside IMO is in encouraging more BME (Black, Minority, Ethnic) coaches in the game.
EDIT - that should read their 'main' downside. It's definitely not their only downside!!!!
I suppose it's unlikely that the FA are going to appoint a coach of a similar 'stature' to him so they can reuse the suit...

I was wondering what your argument was going to be for not wanting BME coaches, now I don't need to.
There is a statement on the FA website about acting with utmost professionalism both on and off the field.
(Not because of today, it's been there a while)
It was 2006 and they basically killed his son's career off, IIRC.
He was bitter about that for quite some time, so it'll probably be repeated now.
