True but it pretty clear he's got trouble written all over him. Matter of time before one of our transfers would be investigated. He's bent and a marked man.
I feel sorry for him, he finally landed his dream job in his 60s and got sacked almost immediately for being a bit naive essentially. He didn't say anything worse than we'd say in a casual chat over the garden fence but he was set up to lose his job over it. I'd take him back in a years time if we've had another nightmare with Moyes but I certainly wouldn't swap them at this point.
He should be banned from football for a number of years.....what a crook....and a greedy crook at that...
I reckon WHU will take him back by the end of the week !, that would be just typical us going there with him in charge looking for his first win.
Hardly naive. From the BBC. 'An FA statement said Allardyce's conduct "was inappropriate" and Gareth Southgate will take temporary charge. "He accepts he made a significant error of judgement and has apologised," the FA said. "This is not a decision that was taken lightly but the FA's priority is to protect the wider interests of the game and maintain the highest standards of conduct in football. "The manager of the England men's senior team is a position which must demonstrate strong leadership and show respect for the integrity of the game at all times." I accept some will take the FA's stance as two faced but doesn't take away from Fat Sam's conduct.
He was naive in that he was too frank with people that he clearly didn't know well enough. Especially given his previous trouble in almost identical circumstances he should have known better.
