Seriously, the price was to reflect his potential. He's still only 23. So, from Utd's point of view, they hope to have an influential driving force in their midfield for several years to come.

At the moment, he still looks a bit hair brained and naive at times.,

... a rare occasion ... but I completely agree <laugh> ... I remember thinking United had been duped at the time paying £30m for Rio ... but if you average that over the seasons that he was top drawer... he cost less than Ade Akinbiyi cost us <grr> <laugh>

What about wages too though?

I'm sure 10 years of Pogba's wages is fair whack.

The signing fee becomes a pittance.

.. it's all relative ... look at United's latest profits announcement ... I wonder how many Pogba shirts have been sold throughout the world already (Zlatan too) ... I know it doesn't sit well with 'Pool fans but United are really the only domestic club that competes with Real and Barca at the commercial income level ...

The commercial thing means nothing to us Fosse, its more a case of the likes of matth thinking that his transfer fee by comparison to Ronaldo and Messi's current worth makes him a player in their bracket.
Neymar, The Chimp and Suarez are way ahead of him in skill and worth(at the moment)

No i'm not, I didn't regarding Di Maria and Falcao, I gave them time like I'm doing with Pogba.

Nah, you creamed all over twitter about them being superstars even before they'd kicked a ball for Utd, what a player does for another club before joining Utd has no bearing on how he does for Utd.

... wouldn't argue with any of that ...and you can't get past the fact that United have been right royally fcuked over in terms of having to buy-back at the price (that is rather hilarious) ... but Mourinho is a crafty cnut ... the signings of Pogba and Zlatan should enable him to ease Rooney away with minimal fuss <laugh>

I didn't ''cream'' over them, I got excited, who wouldn't be, at signing 2 world-class players.

But they weren't "world class" for Utd.<laugh>

That's what I'm talking about, you're labeling players world class based on what they did for other clubs, you should wait before giving players the same status at OT until they prove it.

Back on topic, I think rival fans are being over critical on Paul Pogba, give him time to settle at Manchester United and he will come good, he scored a great header last Saturday as well.

Di Maria was, Falcao was before he got his injury.

He probably will be a very good player but you're simultaneously lambasting anyone for saying he's started poorly while fapping every time he passes the ball five yards to a teammate. If he'd missed the header it would have been a shocker. Good first half, forgettable second.

Matth ... that is NEVER gonna happen buddy ... outside of Salford and the Home Counties there will be few hoping that Pogba (and indeed United) have a cracking season ... if he does indeed go on and have a fantastic season (and even collects the PFA award etc) all you will get from the rivals is "Well so he should do at that price" ... <laugh>
