Wondering whether Long or Austin will start today. Austin is obviously in the goals at present, although two coming from the spot, or will CP select Long because WHU are certainly suspect at the back and Long could more effective over the longer pitch. CP must also be thinking about the Europa League game too. Would not be surprised to see Austin, who has earned a start, to be on for the first 60 mins and Long come on for the final third of the match. Will also be interesting to see how we perform away from home given the last three have been at home. Would be happy with a point today; would prefer three obviously.

Finally, l feel we need some height at RB today; so would want to see Cedric saved for the matches later in the week.

Not that it's all good mind, about West Ham having injuries at FB. It's actually a shame for us that Masuaku can't take to the field. I read an article in the Mail the other week about West Ham wanting to take Olympiacos to court, for overcharging them - something about a secret payment to an agent I think. I'd suggest that West Ham are totally correct to think that they were overcharged - but because they didn't do their homework, and he's ****.

Feeling confident today :)

I'm not, But that could be the Saints fan in me!

Talking of ko times...the Leicester match starts at 2.15??? Weird or what....to fit in with train times for the sake of fans? (sorry, I kill myself sometimes....a ko time to favour fans<laugh><laugh><laugh>).
I know you weren't in the country last weekend Fran, but the Swansea game kicked off at 2:15 too! It's purely so that Sky can extract the maximum possible profit out of the football-watching public, and nothing to do with the fans who attend matches.

Well it would be if either the Swansea or the Leicester games were/are on SKY. Alas in this case, neither were/are.

My understanding - but I could be wrong - is that EL sides who have their games moved to a Sunday purely for EL reasons (ie not TV) can choose when to play their Sunday games. Historically most have been played at 1pm in previous years. If correct, then this suggests that we as a club want 2.15 KOs. Indeed, our non-TV game away to Hull (following the Inter home game) is also a 2.15 KO (you can't look at our other three post-EL Sunday games, because those three are all TV games).

(If clubs don't have the choice, then I'm not sure what other reason there is to play a non-TV Sunday match at 2.15 rather than the usual 1)

As those of us who rely on streams to watch most matches know, there's no such thing as a non-TV game. The Premier League sells all its games to one network or another: Sky and BT for broadcasting in this country, and a host of others such as BeIn, Setanta, and NBC elsewhere. Maybe instead of Sky I should have said "the Premier League and a whole load of non-public sector broadcasters"!
