Hearts is a good draw for us. L'Arse draw against Udinese now makes me want us to sell Johnny 2 Saints to them, rather than Sevilla, just so he can try and do a Nayim against them!!!
From OS - "The winners of the tie enter the group stage of the Europa League, four groups of 12 teams played on a home and away format" 12 teams home and away. That would a season on its own!
Hearts it is. Happy with that. Not far to travel away and a team from one of the poorest leagues in europe.
Not as strong as they once were I fear, having lost the likes of Quagliarella, Zapata, and now Sanchez - but still capable of an upset, certainly better than Young Boys...
Whilst not trying to slight Hearts, we should be able to win the ties against them, with the team we currently have, so the probability of not getting some new faces in til deadline day isn't as bad as it could have been now.
A bit harsh on the Premier League, don't you think? If we turn up expecting to stroll it, like we did in the first leg against Young Boys, we will be in for a shock.
Hearts have a new manager, won their first game under him 4-1 and we're likely to field a highly under-strength side. We'd do well to take the tie seriously. See Villa in the past couple of seasons...
No I don't really mate, especially not the cheapo ones full of nobs, lips, n hoofs! I rarely have red meat at all, none of my family eat it, so mostly chicken n fish, I'll have mince for spag bol, bit of lamb now n again when I get the opportunity, thats about it....all this talk of food, time for a munch n a cuppa rosy lea! So Hearts it is, they're in a bit of turmoil this week with the quick manager change I see.
Celtic having wins over Liverpool and MUPLC in European competitions says how that bravado is as much of a banana skin as the game is...
Yes we have Hearts and it will be tough. Scottish teams pull out all the stops when they meet English opposition but we will pull through.
VDV to score against them in both matches. This I think will be two very close matches so it's doubly important that we get a good win against Everton to put us in a good frame of mind. I would not like to guess the scores in each.
Come on lads, no way will we struggle against Hearts. The SPL is a joke and over 180mins I expect us to be way too much for them even if we played a 2nd string 11.
By the sound of it, it'll be two different sides in league and cups. So as disappointing as any league loss maybe, if anything it'll give the youngsters/fringe players a boost to play well, get noticed in the cups and maybe capture a first teamers berth who is underperforming.
Nice not to have to travel too far, just hope that we take it serious and don't do a Young Boys again
No King but I think it will have a huge impact on confidence early on. I admire your faith and I hope that you're right but I'm waiting for the Everton result ok.
