Amazing City! One of my favourites, been there several times. Four days you will need!
We're only doing three nights. I think the kids will be done after that, especially Stan Jnr who isn't keen on sightseeing (although he has just read all the Roman mystery books so will know about most of the sights). Little Miss Stan has a bit more culture about her.

Stan is an odd name for a little girl mate.

You can spend an entire day just in The Vatican, that's before you get to The Coliseum, The Parthenon, etc, etc....

Good deal? I want to sort a mini break out for me and my lad. Anywhere/websites with cushty deals?
Flights were reasonable and I managed to get a decent deal on the hotel but I'm sure it would have been a lot cheaper if we'd been organised and booked a while back. We also can't stay over the weekend because of Little Miss Stan's incredibly irritating ballet commitments so I guess we're paying the rates aimed at midweek business types.

I also think it's criminal that airlines and hotels ramp their prices up during school holidays!

I'm there next month. He's 14...I told him 2 years, don't tell momma though.
My old man took me out the day before my 18th, even paid for my 1st red light girl. you must follow this path to enlightenment :)

Getting an early night, well more like going to blaze upstairs and watch a film with the Mrs (nm).

Peace out.

A little <laugh> at Everton before I disengage.

Just back from a meal at a local favourite restaurant. Pork belly with samphire and black pudding to start. Followed by Pan fried Hake with a crispy pesto breadcrumb topping, wilted spinach, butter beans and scallops. No room for pud !

There's a rumour that HIAG claims he was Arsenal87 <laugh>

Whilst both shared a tendency to go off the rails and get upset very easily, Arsenal87 did actually know quite a bit about football, which rules out him and HIAG being the same person.

On way back to the car...entertaining game ... disappointing after we went down to ten ...bit of a foregone conclusion...

Largely reserve side played excellently in first half but switched off in added time to let Chelsea back in ...fabulous strike from Azpilicueta to equalise and after Costa came on Chelsea on top and deserved win...

Good run out for the younger lads ...
