Should Mignolet down and let Loris Karius to all the clean sheets ?

    <diva> for goalkeeping puns

Karius is back in full training and should be nearing or at full fitness around now, soooo if you were Klopp would you immediately drop Mignolet and bring Karius in, or would you stick with the waffle guzzling flapper until his next goalmouth brainfart ?

Mignolet has looked alright actually in the last couple of games and the Lovren / Matip partnership looks strong and the defensive consistency could benefit him

But there are still issues with his play as we saw in a couple of dicey moments against Chelsea last night, and as we all know, he has a history of only going a few games before another disastrous goalkeeping glitch has us all squirting and slapping our Nivea all over the place

One thing is for sure ... Karius' gloves will either be stickier or more slippery from all the hair product he smears through his lovely lovely german hair

Mignolet is playing well at the moment, if it aint broke don't fix it. Karius to play in the cups and if he does well, he can come in if Mignolet goes through a shaky period.

Competition...enough of the myth of keepers needing a **** load of games...you do well you stay...you don't...work harder and wait for next opportunity...

So..Mignolet done well enough to stay in...but for once..there's an actual option waiting....

To be fair, Migs hasn't done a lot wrong recently but he's still not good. A few good games doesn't change that unfortunately.

Arguably the best back up goalie in the league.

I agree with jurgen. Karius will play v derby.

nobody REALLY knows if karius is ready to go in the prem yet. not until he plays.

Like I dread mingolet playing v a proper old school team who throw the ball across... like hull next up. Is karius any better?? we don't know as he' not test in preseason.

There is very little wrong with Ming, most keepers have a mistake in them every few games. We have de Gea who is a very good keeper but he still lets the odd cheap goal in, we had van der Sar, he was also a great keeper but, I can honestly say I have never seen a top class keeper beaten at his near post so often.
A keeper is the last line and a lonely soul, every mistake costs a goal and the rest is forgotten.
Who would you pick/like as first choice keeper if you had the chance of anyone in the world?

Good man and good luck <ok>

He is a very good keeper but, like the rest, can make mistakes. How long do you think Jimmy will give him?

Aside from shot stopping, he doesn't have many other qualities. He's not confident on the ball, he doesn't command his box and is rooted to line. And he comes across as a very shy and timid character.

    Neuer, Buffon, De Gea, Courtois.

We'll give him time because a) he's very talented and b) he's young.

Migs has done ok, likely to know he's one **** up from being replaced which may actually help him.

One thing still driving me crazy is when he just stands and watches a lofted ball that's in the air for 5 seconds and ends up near the penalty spot.

Creates chaos and he needs to learn to come and claim those.

The fact remains Simon Mignolet is not in the good book of some supporters. How can he please these supporters?
    Answer is concede no goal:laugh::laugh:.

He's played alright recently, but it's not about what can he do to please those supporters (like me). It's a question of does he honestly inspire any confidence in anyone? Every time he has the ball and does his little dummies or short passes I'm watching through my fingers. I don't trust him on the ball. I don't trust him to claim high balls. I don't trust him to organise and lead a defensive team either and the best keepers do that as they can see more of the field.

He's got a weak personality and **** with the ball at his feet. Karius will get a run out when Migs makes the next big blunder and we then just pray he's an improvement.

Do they? They don't know if he's coming or going, but they do know that Migs will probably play them into trouble at some point.

Karius will come in v Derby but I expect Mingolet to return v Hull. I don't see Klopp being quick to drop him while he's not really making any mistakes.

Mignolet is brilliant at dribbling past a player his problem is kicking the ball. I don't know why he has never tried to work on his kicking. He always seems to kick the ball just past the halfway line.

I am okay with him staying as the number one keeper until he makes mistakes. This will manage Karius in that he cannot just come and walk in as the number one. It also sends a message if you are performing you have every right to keep your position. That is why I believe Can should also wait until the current midfield misfires.

I noticed last year that the size of his legs are like twigs. It's like He has no muscle there!
