Just briefly glanced though that Kempton card after seeing the Sticklers selection and Ubla 14/1 caught the eye in the final race there. Has some useful back form and has won here before too. Frank is steering, that will split the masses if it's good or bad but the horse must have a solid chance I reckon.

Had a long look at that race earlier because Michael likes his and have to say that I could make a case for 5 or 6 of them! (including Ubla)

Couldn't agree more. Purely the price which made my decision. 14's appears too big to me.

Hello, crew. Nothing for me today but a quick heads up re Friday.

The ‘hope of the county’ and our sports next superstar FAIR EVA is a possible for the Group 2 Rockfel at Newmarket whilst at Worcester WELD ARAB looks set to return to the track after going so close a few weeks ago, at the same venue, when that ‘county set’ plot just got foiled. A word of caution re this latter one though is that (i) at the entry stage it looks quite a hot heat, (ii) Weld Arab is now perched 5 lbs higher than last time out and (iii) on that occasion he was primed in pretty much ‘A1 ready’ condition. Mr Martin McIntyre (7) has, again, been provisionally booked. Although it may appear I sound a tad downbeat re his chances he should still hold every chance of a win – just nowhere near as confident as last time.

Good luck to those wagering today.

I rather hope to be going to HQ on Friday Barney so will take my camera along and get some photos of Fair Eva.

Excellent, Stick. I’m sure you will snap an award winning picture as she's a stunning looking filly. Is the reason for your trip East, incidentally, because Squire will be chasing ‘Silver(ware)’ on Friday (I see he’s still in)???

Your assumption is correct Barney. He is still in, waiting to see how many more declare today. Less than 80 we hope!

Morning All.

Couple of rides for the excellent Adam McNamara stand out for me at Leicester:
14.00 The Stalking Moon
17.00 Diamonds a Dancing
The 3.30 race at the same meeting looks a cracker, with any number in with a shout, and my speculative selection being for A Momentofmadness.

Stick's selection is getting plenty of support in that Kempton opener, the race card that plays host to the sub plot today.
As such, I may just have to be a "sub plot WUM" and go for the SDS mount in that race, Supreme Power, to upset things.
Choumicha in the 3.40 is my other sub plot suggestion, for Crowley.

Also, as you can see, got both kids started early with the horses. Our local farm had a great open day on Saturday and both kids were very excited.
Zach could not wait to ride and once he'd got his Spiderman face paint done, he jumped straight on Kinlay, a horse the kids see regularly.

I think both could end up enrolled in the local riding school next spring. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Good Luck to all.

Canny Style should be able to take this after finally getting off the mark at Carlisle. She's up 6lbs but that doesn't appear to be enough of a penalty to stop her going in here.Opposition doesn't look up to much so I've had a wee pint on her to score at 9/4
