With great reluctance I must say

It is time for a change of management.
I have never advocated this, even with Paul bloody Hart in charge, but now is the time to move on.
This is not a knee jerk reaction, but more that I am concerned JFH doesn't have his heart in it or indeed knows what he is doing.so why wait "10 games " or whatever.
And no, I have no great suggestions for a new manager..
It is a sad day, and I have NEVER said this before, but time to go Jimmy.

Your view is fine but why we need a fifth thread on essentially the same topic is beyond me

Nevertheless interesting to read the view of some one who does not call for the manager's head on a whim.

We must have fans that are blind if they cannot see that JFH needs to go.
It has nothing to do with 'Short-termism' or gungho or not being patient it's to do with the fact that he hasn't got a clue.
Been saying it all along and so surprised others haven't.
Sadly we have some fans that are 'happy clappers' and think they are of some higher football intelligence and look down on other fans that speak their mind. Said it with Redknapp, Ramsey and JFH and I was told by some that i was talking rubbish? eem.

Thanks RTID. It is with a heavy heart that i lay my cards on the table. I never really advocate a change of manager, but now perhaps is the time....

Does anyone know who actually appoints the manager? What is the process? I'm curious to know if Hoos was involved at all. Assuming that you add Hughes to the list of people you wanted sacked (as did most of us), it's a very sorry list and reflects badly on those who appointed.

We've never had a manager that was any good and I have always been the first to identify their deficiencies. They've all been sacked, so I have always been proved right.

Every manager gets sack, it's inly a matter of time but that doesn't mean there all bad.
Most start well, build and go forward.
Some never get off the starters block.

The problem our club seem to be suffering is that we appoint rookie managers and then expect to get good results.
The appointment of a manger is as important as purchasing the teams gun player.

We're getting kindergarten results from an infant manager if truth be known.

Funny you mention Hughes as I thought he was a good appointment at the time.

As did we all. It should have been a winning combination. Having said that, have a look at his win rates before joining QPR.

Seems like he was on a downward slope at that time!!

I said at the start of Ramsey's reign too that he should never have been appointed in the first place and I was very vociferous about that. I would like to think therefore that I can speak my mind when required.

Regarding JFH, at the moment I feel different to you Ellers. Rather than have fans that "are blind", I think people do not want to seem disloyal for calling for the Manager's head. With the likes of Hughes and Redknapp, I didn't want either of them sacked until their last week or two at the club out of loyalty. In JFHs case, we haven't struggled at the bottom end of the table, so far and only about a month ago, we were top of the league after 2 games.

Maybe it is loyalty and maybe it is stupidity but I will speak for myself and say I am prepared to give him a few more weeks at least.

There is something inherently wrong about a club that continually changes manager after manger after manager.
I don't think we will turn things around if we keep down this road. We have brought in historically good managers (and players come to that) and made them poor. If it happens once or twice, fine, **** happens' but this has been going on for years now. It has to stop or this, our, club is only going one way.

I think Ramsey would have done OK given more time, and still think the same about JFH, as probably does SLF.

But for me we don't have time for this mid table consolidation bull which in reality means a relegation struggle and no PL football for seasons, at the same time as the financial situation for the Club will become more and more bleak.

We need to be aiming for a promotion this season and to do this Jmmy has to get his new team winning matches now. Maybe some of the new signings were not fit or ready to start Championship football and he had to play others. Maybe he's not allowed to play Sandro in the League. Whatever he must start winning games in the next 3 or 4 games or he has to go, and SLF with him. Bring in Colin if we can. He has got many teams playing above themselves- no reason he can't do it again.

I think the saying is: once is chance, twice coincidence, three times a pattern. Well we've had four managers, three of whom have performed better elsewhere and one a rookie (how I hate Americanisms). On the face of it, at least three of them should have proved more successful than they proved to be.

To be fair, I'm not sure what more those appointing the team manager could have done.

<yikes> I didn't see this at the time or I would have questioned it. I always got the impression he was pretty good. How wrong I was.

finglas, i don't think we have a choice tbh. TF/Les won't sack him because they have spent the last year saying how good he is.
People on here that know me will tell you, that I have always wanted QPR to be a boring mid/low Premiership team that beats Chelsea once in a while. Nothing special, maybe the odd cup run. I hate all the inconsistency, I have always wanted a manager to stick around and for us to just plod along. Sadly in the modern game it needs to be an instant fix.
However when something is not right then you must change it. JFH keeps making the same naive mistake and it is costing us. I really do fear for us now as 1 point in 5 games is relegation form.
