The only time I was nervous throughout the game was when Lucas came on - think he gave the ball away twice, kicked it in the stands when a simple pass was on and gave away dangerous free kicks!

I thought Matip was really good but made a really poor error for the goal. The good thing is that we got back into shape and didn't bottle it like normal.

If Willian kept his mouth shut Chelsea escape that game without a booking

It's a total disgrace

We need an independent investigation

I am still raging that the goal we conceded against Leicester was allowed to stand. The worry with that one was that the only thing it could have been, given the refs viewpoint was a lack of knowledge of the rules - from the ref!
Oh and the shirt pull at spurs
Will be a few weeks before i get onto todays ref.
All i keep getting from mates is - stop worrying you won.
Just to point out that leicester goal currently the difference beteen 3rd and 4th :emoticon-0181-fubar<grr>

Tbf i think the refs on a whole have been shocking this season and not just with us. utd should defo have had a pen, that said rooney should have not been on the pitch and city should have had a pen with player sent off so..
Been bad decisions in all games. Fairly certIn it is just the speed of the game nowadays but will see.

Lovren and Matip are looking like a very good partnership. I reckon Sakho would be struggling to get back in regardless.

As a self confessed Lucas fan I have to admit I was a bit twitchy. <laugh>

Watched the game down the pub, and it lived up to its billing.

First half it has to be said - you were sublime. You completely stifled Chelsea and the score line didn't flatter at HT. The movement and pace up front was superb

Second half your soft underbelly came back into play for me. A poor goal to concede and then you dropped off, fortunately for you Chelsea lacked creativity in the final third, the game was screaming out for Fabregas and I was amazed he left it so late before bringing him on.

Going there and getting 3 points is a cracking result, puts you right up there and you're definitely going to be in the mix if you continue to play like that.

The added bonus was the win moved us into second :)

It wasn't just Lucas. We Kept Hendo on but introduced both Lucas and Stewart; aka three DMs in an attempt to shut up shop. Fair enough since we were 2-1 up but it invites pressure because there is no outlet.

TBH I didn't think Lovren played well last night - he had an average game I felt. he rushed out 3-4 times and i think he lost each time.

We lost control when Coutinho went off - I thought he was really good yesterday.

I agree on both, as much as Lovren has improved he does at times make the wrong choice. He got away with it last night as Chelsea didn't really offer anything going forward other than Willians efforts. Still he is building a good partnership with the superb Matip and that partnership will improve.

Coutinho was superb he really controlled the game well, his driving forward from pressure was brillinat I forget how quick he is at times.

On Coutinho i struggle to remember any of his frustrating "what the hell i'll try a ridiculously optimistic shot rather than keep possession" passages of play . Hope someone has had a word and he sticks to playing percentages which obviously includes shooting but only when it is the better option as it is then he really shines

Where do you think Everton will finish Tobes?

Second time Origi has come on and just strolled about . If nothing else as sub you have energy to burn so put some effort into closing down defenders. His headed goal attempt i have no problem with as it was a good effort which forced an even better save it was just the lack of desire he showed

Too early to say mate.

We've started well and the signs are good, but I'm not getting carried away at this early stage.

I'm fully expecting us to slip up today, as we've won 3 on the spin, and 4 would be just not Everton <laugh>

I don't think it was a lack of desire. I think it's a bit of rustiness and lacking a little bit of confidence. He was starting a lot last season and now he isn't this one, young players will be like this. Sterling has gone through them, Barkley now etc
