Welcome back to a match day thread by Saintsfcfan!

This time we take on Swansea at St Marys on the back of a win, and a good win at that!
Two goal Charlie Austin will surely get a starting berth whilst Shane Long may need some impact from the bench.
Swansea have had a mixed start to the season and arguably should have won against Chelsea. They have the all important first win on the board though, something Saints will hope to have acquired by the end of the game.

Prediction: the winning run will continue with a good 2-0 win. Austin and Jay.

If Austin is to play (excellent tonight, and proved that he is a mobile and hard working forward, and not just a poacher) JWP has to also play. There is little point in playing our main threat with the head and not playing the best provider of that type of delivery (although Cocu´s delivery was pretty tasty)
 
I'm going to be unpopular and say that I think I'd have Redmond in place of J-Rod (we need someone to run at them and pull their defence around - Jay won't necessarily do that) and Cedric in place of Cuco (yes I know! I just worry about Cuco's positional sense when attacked and I don't want to see Jose giving another penalty away from having to cover. Of course, if Maya played instead of Jose ...... <whistle>)

Just want a win - preferably not a late goal though. Would love it for Charlie to score early and then we get a second before the half hour and can settle and enjoy the game! COYS!!!!

Jay rod suits the diamond striker role the most, as he is the most technically gifted. Personally, I don't like Redmond as a striker.

I'd go 4-2-3-1 as I keep saying, but if I was diamond crazy like Mr. Puel My team would be:

Jrod Long
Redmond
Davis Højbjerg
Oriol
Bertrand Vvd Fonte Cuco
Forster

Harsh on Austin and JWP though.
 
I'd like to see Redmond play in the no10 role ... thought he was excellent when he came on last night.

Would imagine Fonte, Bertrand, Davis & Cedric are certain to start.

He is much better picking the ball up deeper and running into space. I don't like him up top as you don't get to see his tremendous close control. When he picks it up deeper he can dazzle with the ball.

Just checked the Swans board, they seem very downbeat about their chances. I think more of the expect a saints win than us which is very unusual
