We were poor today, I thought Nasser gave his worst performance for us so far. Smithies put is some good saves which saved our blushes.
We were lucky not to lose it at a couple of stages, I was behind Smithies in the second half and it was pinball in there on several occasions. Ned was going walk about, and I noticed that we seemed to be leaving a giant gap in the middle between Hall & Ned, don't know if it was intentional but if we had played Caulker and moved Ned over as Perch is suspect, we could have taken Henry off and had a go at them. Anyone notice that when the Blackburn Keeper didn't kick it into touch, he targeted the area in front of Ned & Perch. They knew something. Lovely free kick from Chery.
Please can we wait for the magic 10 games before we go into meltdown? There are some concerns (by the way, Polter's 3rd against Leeds was from open play??) BUT 1.66 pts per game gives us a sniff at 6th. Agree that next two will be stern test. Now.is the time.to raise the stakes if we can.
http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.u...IME_REPORT__QPR_1_Blackburn_Rovers_1/?ref=mac Free highlights of the Blackburn game - longer than the Officials. Great goal from Cherry.
Two good goal line clearances from Bidwell otherwise the result could have been a lot different The first was from a Gallagher header. We managed to repeat the generosity by giving the big Centre Half the entire box to head in the equalising goal. I think that is where we missed Caulker on Saturday. Hoping he is back tomorrow night.
Blackburn won't be down at the foot of the table for too long playing like they did Saturday. Having said that, I don't think many teams will give their defense such an easy time as we did.
