A great interview and extremely informative. Hoos seems to be a very competent Business Manager who is very aware and focused on the fan base. It is disturbing that our cost structure makes a loss at the operational level, I.e gate revenues minus the operational costs of running the stadium. Thanks for posting!
i think that Lee Hoos is THE best signing that Rangers have made in this century! The whole attitude of the club seemed to improve the day that he started. We suddenly had a footballing man that understands business. Or is he a businessman who understands football? I hope we can keep him for a lot longer.
I think he is an excellent CEO and we are lucky to have him. He brings good business sense to an industry where it has been severely lacking. However, I find it slightly irritating that he talks so quickly, using a million words where a few dozen would do. Don't get me wrong, I welcome the improved communication from the club that has emerged on his watch but, for example, if you watch the first episode of the interview, he basically spends the whole time dealing with one issue. So that's only 9 out of 10, then!
Rodney - you a very harsh. I perceived this as an "informal discussion", even with the jokes on the cost of the Media Team and the potential editing. Perhaps he is more formal in business presentations, etc. I also think he is doing a great job and I welcome the openness. However, I would love to hear details on his strategy an and business plan for the future. I am sure that profit on player sales is envisages as a significant future revenue stream.
He talks sense and he has a great pedigree. How much of Burnley's success is down to him? A fair amount I suspect. Glad he is on side.
My son and I went on the stadium tour last week (which was very enjoyable) and the guide let slip that the reason season-ticket holders no longer have their names on their seats is that Hoos decided it was a waste of money. Well done Lee, that'll turn things around.
I thought the name on Season Ticket holder's seats was due to the new branding being updated. It was a nice touch but have to agree, totally unnecessary.
I'm surprised they haven't updated the logo on the official QPR app yet - I can't imagine that would cost much to do.
I wouldn't be surprised if he furnished it himself with his father in laws money. Does he even go to matches nowadays?
