Or a £30m/£40m move to a big club that can afford much higher wages and (as is the norm) a percentage of the transfer fee for signing on.
I would have thought they'd consider where he would play before submitting a £30m fee, booking a plane, and arranging a medical #rememberjames
Odd statement though don't you think? They try and offload McCarthy, fail, so "say" they pull out of Sissoko deal (even though he turned them down and chose Spurs for more money & CL) because didn't want to jeopardise McCarthy position... despite being the ones trying to offload him
True, but then again England have never had a real force in Europe (maybe Forest when they won the EC back to back), nothing long lasting anyway.
They probably did consider these things and thought £30m meh it's worth a punt, the squad is short of a few. Obviously weren't prepared to offer him top wages though as a squad filler so he went elsewhere. **** happens.
Oh right, so you won it back to back once as well, right up there with Forest as European giants then. So England have had some domination twice in history, nice
30 mill prob means nothing to Jos£ and the plastic mancs (good band name) but some of us still love our clubs and arent secretly seething at what they've become, thanks for your input
Say what you want, it is funny though looking at how you go about business now, the world sees it and laughs. And you have the manager that is renowned for it! (also well known for other very unsavoury things and not just his inability to train a player) All the best mate
