There is something in what you say, and always 2 sides to a story but personally I think that's a tad harsh on Bruce, I like many felt that in our relegation season it wasn't so much the signings, on the positive side he did sign Daws, Robbo, Diame, Hernandez, Livermore , Maguire and Snodgrass, but our crippling injury problems especially up top, mid season that really hampered us. Last year, as he said the important thing was to keep rather than sign players and as **** as parts of the season were, he got us promoted again, job done.My point was not that he hasn't made any good signings. However, in his 1st few years pretty much all his signings were bang on. Of course they were still a few duds but that happens. His signings got us up the 1st time and kept us up.
He just didn't seem to know how to build on that. The signings of our relegation year were very poor and our team spirit which had been so strong previously seemed to disintergrate.
I wasn't impressed with his signings last year particularly either. Not sure why he bothered signing Taylor, Maloney, Diomande or Kuciak
