McDonalds to create 5,000 new jobs because of Brexit http://www.itv.com/news/2016-07-27/mcdonalds-to-create-5-000-new-jobs-because-of-brexit/ Recruitment specialist Reed Group said demand for new staff has flourished since the referendum, with 150,000 more jobs added to its website in the past three weeks compared with the same period last year. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/...o-plans-freeze-recruitment.html#ixzz4JCP8tlec The sectors in line to benefit most from the boost are education, with nearly 13,000 new jobs advertised; IT and telecoms, with 12,000 new vacancies; and sales, with nearly 11,000 new posts. There are also 10,000 new accountancy jobs advertised and 8,000 in engineering. A recent Markit/CIPS survey suggests that the UK's manufacturing sector rebounded sharply in August. Reinforcing this picture of manufacturing growth, UK industrial output grew at its fastest rate for 17 years in April to June, according to the ONS. GlaxoSmithKline announces £275m investment and new jobs as it says Britain remains 'attractive' despite Brexit – just weeks after it warned against leaving the EU
That just shows how many window lickers there are in the UK 5,000 new jobs at McDonalds not exactly something to be proud of is it?
So if it were 5,000 jobs lost because of Brexit the remain campaign would not be jumping up and down with I told you so? A job is a job, if that is 5,000 workers working for McDonalds that is 5,000 people not on unemployment benefit, that is 5,000 people with money in their pocket to spend, it might not be a lot but it will be spent somewhere. The delivery driver who pulls his HGV up with the delivery, the company that supplies the bags and napkins, the company that supplies till roll, the company that supplies cleaning products, it all has a knock on somewhere. If that still doesn't impress you don't forget, I also posted a link to Reed and an extra 150,000 new positions
That's 5,000 that can live with dignity supporting themselves and their families.Forza and glory go have a pint of bitter, you lost and the country's booming, get over it.
I can see your point Forza, not many would like working at McDONALDS, but it is a first step into workforce for many school leavers and unskilled teens.......
As was always the case. The situation will only become clear once the terms of leaving are agreed and after we have gone. Still convinced we will lose far more than we could ever gain.
Off out to Spain on 13th to scout out a plot. It's not about me it's about the country that will remain home to my kids.
The country your kids are in will be much better than the one your going to,you sure they will have you ? Brexit works both ways.
So, nobody knows what's going to happen now things are looking good,? that's not what they were telling us before the 23rd
Stop wriggling, Forza, you bit off a bit more bait than you thought and hooked more than you expected. Suck it up, fella.
