even if an offer had come in and the club had given him permission to talk to them he would STILL not leave. He is over 30 and this is his first shot at the prem. He most likely will never get another shot. Why risk it on a Leicester side who are certainly not garanteed promotion? No chance.
I hope we don't sign him to be honest. The only thing that is attractive is the price tag and we're not strapped for cash. I would rather take Maynard or Long who have proven they can score in this division, I feel that Holt may have had one exceptional season (which it was by the way) and that is it. He has only performed for small clubs and you are the first well supported club who he has played well for. He is 30 too, the only reason i'd take him is because he is a leader. But we have Wellens, King, Oakley, Mills, Schmeichel, Howard and Danns who are all capable of leading a team. Good luck in the Prem, I hope Holt proves me wrong because Norwich are a cracking little club with great support and well managed as well!
