The rot has set in and the signs were there last season and Jenkins who has made a lot of money dont look as if he really cares that much.....
Former Swansea striker Eder, 28, who scored the winning goal for Portugal in the European Championship final, has revealed his father is in jail after being convicted for murdering his stepmum. (Daily Mail)
It's a good read - Link Shame it never worked out here really, I'm sure there's a decent footballer in there somewhere.
Bloody hell I feel for Eder things like that will follow a person for life. On other matters, Huw has stated that we're a club in transition and needed to sell players because accounts for last season indicated that we incurred a significant loss. I think the main error has been to purchase and develop two training grounds that costs millions. I know that the infrastructure is something tangible in terms of assets but surely it would have made sense to invest the money in playing staff that will increase our chances of staying in the premier league. One training ground would have sufficed. Only logical explanation is that selling the club has been the plan for a long time and to make the most amount of money from potential buyers having our own infrastructure increased the clubs valuation. In other words they have sold out possibly at the expense of premiership football. IMO if they had the clubs interest at heart then they would have spent only what was necessary in terms of training facilities and invested the rest into playing staff. I pass the Landore training ground daily and most of the time iit lies dormant (morning, afternoon and evenings).
One bit of good news coming out of the club is that Baston is likely to make his debut against Chelsea.
Thanks Taff, but I did know what the gangs were all about. "The gangs of New York" , ghastly film. Daniel Day Lewis was a ganger in that, I think.
