Guys I doubt very much that Weir will be in the starting 11. Mason, Huddlestone, Clucas, Meyler, Livermore (When we get CB's back) all before him. It's clear he is the kind of player you bring in looking longer term. A CB and a Striker are needed and it isn't 11 yet.
****ing....calm down. I know it's not. But our splendid history of deadline days isn't really filling me with confidence. Mbokani coming in would be great, though.
@mattdeanradio Reliably informed the James Weir deal from Man Utd to #hcafc is done. Expecting him in on a three year deal.
So maybe wait until the deadline passes before deciding whether 'January needs to be ****ing spectacular'. Easy to say that about previous deadline days in hindsight - if I recall everyone was creaming themselves when we got Diame, Ben Arfa et al.
Weir and Keane are gonna propel us to a top four finish. Great signings proper class acts. Bet the rest of the league is well jealous.
They won't spend any of their own money until they are the owners. At the moment the EPL might say they are not fit and proper people, so I would guess in this window they will be a prudent approach. These younger players are likely not going to be in the first eleven, but Phelan probably thinks they have promise. As long as we bring in say Henriksen and this MBokani, then the window will IMO been OK.
Just getting this sinking feeling that Henriksen isn`t gonna happen, I suspect when we got Mason we cooled our interest. Pity he looked very decent.
I think it does anyway, regardless of who we sign this Summer. Also, I may have made a mistake on Weir, my brother just said I was confusing him with Donald Love, who isn't even at Man U anymore. But is ****. I feel a bit better now.
It could be worse. 'This is the one we have been chasing' Paul Duffen when talking about Sonko being our only signing.
Good technical skills, fairly strong, intelligent passer, can go past a man with ease at times. Very forward thinking and gets a reasonable amount of goals for a CM. Never seen him above U21 level though so hard to predict if he will carry his ability up with him. A bit disappointed with this deal because I think he would have been next in line to get a chance in the first team squad, when you look at our midfield and bench now though you can see that his chance has probably gone.
You could be right, I would like to see him in. He is not in the Norway squad tonight, and his club has tweeted he is in Hull. Of cause, he might be here but in the end no deal done, I guess TWT.
