This has really pissed me off. Great player and he's not even been given a chance yet this season, despite performing well in the cup games and Naismith playing like **** in the league. What's the point!

I can only imagine it's because he will be behind Hoolahan and Pritchard for the starting 11 but would have loved to have seen him get his chance as a sub and see how he did!

This is the first time in a while I feel pissed off, angry even as I like to try and stay positive and calm. But I just can't get my head around the Maddison transfer, I've been defending Naismith but I would have been happier to see him go than Maddison. Crazy.

I specifically said Maddison on loan to a Scottish club.

Was that AN quote about Maddison before the knee-jerk reaction to sign Pritchard because we could?

Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against Pritchard, but it wasn't exactly the signing we needed for the money spent. He's pushed Maddison further from the first team. And I'm still annoyed Maddison has gone.

I mean, what the **** do we learn from him playing in that tinpot league? Morris looked good there, Matthews is impressing, and neither could be further from breaking into our first team. He'll come back and still be deemed untested.

Meanwhile Naismith has expressed an interest in leaving, and most of us would pay his petrol, yet we're apparently holding on to him. I suspect that's part of a chain of events where we think a striker signing has fallen through, so can't afford to lose a striker option, therefore Maddison gets pushed away.
