He couldn't be king if he converted to Catholicism.

I live in the UK too.Yes, he could, no one would give a **** and they'd change the law.

I live in this country ffs, religion isn't a thing anymore.

A Catholic cannot be head of state.

There has been changes recently. The face the head of state has to be Anglican wasn't one of them. It isn't about what you think and I believe you don't give a ****.It's one of those stupid backwards laws that have existed since the middle ages. Would be wiped in no time if the situation would ever arise.
Yet anyone other than an Anglican cannot be head of state of the UK.You're either trying very hard to not read my posts or just desperate to try and prove a pointless point.
So ****ing what? We're not like you brick-throwing *****s or our northern skirt-wearing pineapple spotters, we don't give a **** about religion![]()

I'm just stating facts.
You're wrong though. No you're not, you're putting up a fictional scenario and I'm answering with a fictional scenario.
People, in ENGLAND (sorry, need to be more precise with people like you), DO NOT GIVE A **** ABOUT RELIGION.
Get it?
Cheers,

No quite true. The monarch is not just head of state but also the head of the church of England. They are not head of any other church in the UK i.e the church of Scotland. Therefore it is England that is sectarian not the UK.It's against UK law.

If the pope converted to buddhism could he still be pope?If William converted to Catholicism could he take the throne?
Yeah I was dumbing it down a bit but you got my point. No quite true. The monarch is not just head of state but also the head of the church of England. They are not head of any other church in the UK i.e the church of Scotland. Therefore it is England that is sectarian not the UK.
How could a catholic be the head of a protestant Church?
At the end of the day all organised religions are sectarian.
No. The Catholic Church and the Vatican State are sectarian. If the pope converted to buddhism could he still be pope?
It is what it is and has been for hundreds of years. Isnt Ireland really the Catholic state of Ireland does that make it sectarian?Yeah I was dumbing it down a bit but you got my point.
All religions are sectarian of course but would you agree that the UK state is fundamentally sectarian considering only a member of a certain church can be head of state?
No, those days are long gone (almost) thank ****.It is what it is and has been for hundreds of years. Isnt Ireland really the Catholic state of Ireland does that make it sectarian?
