I think we all know why. He cost the club hugely in the run in last season. Possibly a europa league win, probably league place which really hurt us. he's messed round and acted the big dick round campus all preseason and got sent home. how many more reasons does klopp need?
interesting. Would you sell him for 20mil... not sure why we don't want to sell or if this is actually us saying thats under value... who knows.
Sakho's case shows that Klopp a manager of few words who cannot be messed around . I think he made the decision about Sakho during US tour.
I would happily sell him only if we sign quality to replace him - that applies to anyone else in the squad. That's the biggest concern. I'm all for teaching Sakho a lesson and disciplining him but it would be absolutely mental to get rid of our best defender with very little adequate cover.
its too late to sign anyone for sure so telling him he's no chance of a game and to go on loan is bascially saying i can't work with you and i'd rather stick with what i have. For me this looks like a complete cull of defenders Randall off on laon.. says nah don't need you Flanagan the same Wisdom the same Ilori told to just go Enrique dismissed in may before the europa even toure got shut of no sahko We will have by the look of it Clyne A kid in arnold Lovern Matip Klavan Gomez Moreno milner as cover and thats about it. its risky with a) 3 rcbs in that. b) no real full back cover c) a reliance on a couple guys who may be injury prone (gomez as cover???) so yeah i'd like to see a CB arrive but if klopp can't get one i think he'd rather play lucas there... the midfield is not quite similar. we've not done so much hacking and burning there. The forward line has jsut seen dead wood culled but theres plenty of cover. I'm frankly worried about the african nations cup in january a bit.
We've got Matip who looked miles better in one game than Sakho ever looked tbh, Lovren and Klavan both not bad, we've not got enough cover at CB if this stuff about Sakho is accurate
Should also point out it's a loan that the club have told Sakho to find, not a permanent transfer He's being sent to the kennel for a season to sort himself and his bs out then next season we'll both see where we're at
I agree. It is a case that we need to be careful of injuries and suspensions and when matip goes to ANC. Sometimes you could go all year with two rock solid lads and never have a worry especially at CB where the running is less. Carragher and hyppia did for years. But its a risk. we know about matip's ankle. I've no clue about klavan. we've seen lovern pull up in preseason with hammy but it was only cramp... after last season its a worry though... If klopp wants him out its his job after all. I just think i'd be wamr and fuzzy if one other body was available. Doesn't seem to be wisdom thats for sure.
Pearce saying that Sakho has to go out on loan and prove his fitness and professionalism before he can play again for us. This sounds like more than a bit of hijinks gone awry. Anyone thinking that the dodgey/not Dodgey pills he was taking was an attempt to hide weight gain from lack of self discipline..that coupled with lateness, not turning up, disrupting events etc.. Anyway...I like this..Klopp telling squad through this it doesn't matter if you're no 1 on paper..without the work you don't stay at club.
like.... fitness fine you play 30 odd games or whatever but how do you prove discipline? If he goes to leverkusen can he get in their CL squad? I agree. klopp is being the main man.. they should fear him and want a hug at the same time.
Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead! About time this was done seriously...there's now no "making do" either the remaining players are good enough and fit enough this season or its now one in one out come transfer windows...
Just seems to be ill discipline as in self discipline...do as your told...not your own thing that pops in your head. So yeah...go play 30 games, keep your nose clean show you grew up rather than become another Balotelli and welcome back...if not? Well.....
I don't thnk he wants him out in that he has a vendetta I think he just wants him to go and prove he can knuckle down, get fit, be consistent and stop mucking around. I thnk Klopp does see potential there but the attitude isn't good for him We've got Lucas, Gomez and Klavan who can all play CB but we just don't know what will happen with injuries over a season, all those have question marks either over fitness and injuries or being a bit of an unknown quality in not having played a full season I hope that Matip and Lovren can stick it out for a long run, that looks a good pairing, maybe not world beaters but what we need is simply a consistent CB pair instead of chopping and changing all the time like we have for seasons. They seemed to complement each other well and offer different things defensively. Still question marks over Lovren after his horror show under Rodgers but he is improving
Absolutely, Klopp's tactics and style are all about self-discipline and work ethic. Think he sees in Sakho a guy who is too much of an unknown quantity and loose cannon in his personality and is worried and has already seen evidence that this transfers into indiscipline on the pitch which will massively **** up the machine he's building
