Have you noticed the 3 teams at the top with 9 points had the luck of the draw. Each starting against 3 poor teams each?
I can recall Arsenal starting like that, before blowing up!

After 4 games last year Utd were 6 points ahead of us....City 9.

Nothing to worry about, we hate Augusts anyway.

3 new coaches with three consecutive wins, I wonder what will happen when things start to go wrong. This could be the worst thing that could have happened for them.

They've done their very best to buy the PL championship.Wonder how much money they've got left?

Let's see how the two react to a defeat. As you said they have not had massive tests...we have played both the Mersyside clubs and only conceded from set pieces...the juggernaut will be full steam ahead come September.

I think both clubs and managers have been beaten before and even went on to win titles :emoticon-0100-smile

Villa have signed another Championship striker in Kodija - taking their summer spending to over £50M <yikes>

They have recouped £16M in outgoing transfers

They need to get back at the first attempt with that sort of outlay

Why am I feeling that just as last year's script (eventually) read as Leicester win title, this year also has a script which involves back to the status quo? Seems that the authorities, media and refs have all been sent a copy involving dishing out the honours among Chelski, City and United and that it's exciting enough for the PL if it's just left to those three to battle it out. Teams like Spurs should be happy with 6th etc etc etc......

Perhaps.
But if so, for me it means when Spurs do what they did last season it makes things
all the more enjoyable for us / annoying for the Sky 4 + Sugga Daddy FC lovers
in the media etc.

Looks like this new trophy that we didn't bother entering has bombed, if last night's anything to go by.
The principle isn't actually too bad, as it offers good youngsters a chance to play against established first team players.
Why the lower league sides and their fans are supposed to give a **** about it is a mystery, though.

Some shockingly low attendances, including 392 for Fleetwood v Blackburn.
Can't see that sort of thing being allowed to continue.
