I agree - most players want to play in CL and that shows ambition. It shows you how far this club has fallen and that's the clubs fault.
Liverpool have agreed a £6m deal with Lazio for sale of Luis Alberto. £4.3m up front, £1.7m in add-ons. #LFC
Lazio are set to sign Luis Alberto from Liverpool. Fee is €5m plus add ons. Liverpool also entitled to 30% of any profit should he be sold. (Tony Barrett)
can we spend some of the money we have brought in please on a LB and a DM or for the love of god at least one of them
Quite whilst i wasn't expecting a huge net spend due to paying for the stand plus no euro games i'm a bit taken abaack that we are well in profit and yet no LB signed. On DM / commanding CM cannot see us signing one due to Wijnaldum signing otherwise why buy him ?
yeah you have a point. klopp has bought what he wanted but right now if randal goes to preston (not sure if loan) and wisdom goes to celtic we are SO light that some sort of full back has to be brought in.
I read this one 2 days ago and said no chance. Christian fuchs... can take a set piece and stands at lb. Its like someone wrote it to tease me personally. What would you do? Take the 30 year old and be done with it? I dont get the story as hes got 2 years left on Leicester contract and by then they have 2 more young lbs.... Why would they sell
We're only in profit if you only consider the headline transfer figures. When you factor in all of the agent fees, tax, VAT, fees and whatever else, we've spent more than we've made comfortably. That said, I did expect us to spend more this window given the new TV money, but maybe Klopp is genuinely happy with the current crop - even Moreno as a backup LB he can mould. He does like attacking fullbacks
I'm sure when Klopp took the job, money and transfer markets were discussed. Stadium or not, breaking even in this day and age is piss poor for a club our size. 2 days left and I'm expecting someone to come in tbh.
Sign a LB and would have spent say £20m net and improved the squad in general from last year while moving on a few players not needed. Successful window in theory. All down own to can Klopp makes us more consistent this year though, signings or not, a lot of players aren't consistent enough like Mig, Lovren, Cour, Firm etc. These are players already here at the club so improve them and would go well this year.
Liverpool have agreed a £6million deal with Lazio for midfielder Luis Alberto. The Reds will pocket £4.3million up front with a further £1.7million to potentially follow in add-ons which would be triggered by European qualification
Is there VAT on player transfers? That said its all about breaking even and not paying much tax. agents fees 100% we are spending a shed load each season on those.
I have never underatood how agents can be paid by 2 sometimes 3 parties in a transfer, Has no-one heard of conflict of interest ?
If he gets fuchs for 6mil... who delivered every set peice that leicester scored off and help win the league? plus a net income form transfers woud be interesting... Fuchs would not have been my choice but we desperately need someone who can take a corner and set piece. Karius I can't say.. not unitl i see him against a side who will lump it in the air at him. Matip... I like well enough. we will see if he stays fit but he look like he's mobile, tall, and can pass. Mane i rate as our best signing since suarez (no other player since has been a roaring success really have they? lovern, lallana, sturridge even, coutinh ois magic when it comes off once in 5 games but this lad is just ace.) If all three actually work... well its a good window. Klavan and wijnaldum do a job i expect.
well.... the player in THEORY pays an agent part of his fees or whatever. 10% A club may pay a finders fee to an agent to get rid of a player by hawking them round or may pay to get acces to a player. It is very murky really.
murky doesn't cover it.various interpretations at best - unethical at reasonable - breach of agents code at worst - illegal
