Pleased to find I am not the only one who can't stand him. Plus he is 25 and has flattered to deceive that he will win a grand slam. If he does not do it today doubt he ever will. Of course that will not stop the press creaming their pants every time he gets into the latter stagesl of a grand slam.
We find it amusing in Oz that when Andy Murray wins anything he is referred to as "British" by the English press but becomes "Scottish" when he loses.
Don't worry Roo, most of us in the UK find our press amusing too. I really don't know how they keep going tbh with better free alternative. Theres a certain set of society that are desperate for a tennis champion, while 99% of us couldn't care less.
Christ Dean the Germans bombed hell out of Hull and killed some of my parents relatives but they dont go round hating them. Now if you had said L###S..
There's something creepy about jocks though, The men wear skirts and they are well known for in-breeding.
"The first man in the Open era to have reached three Grand Slam finals without winning a set." Hahahaha.
It's the Greg Rusedski paradox again. I've got an anyone but Murray approach to it since his anyone but England comment. I've no problem with him thinking that, I think anyone but L**ds. If I was competing in an individual sport I wouldn't then expect any support from L**ds fans just because I'm from Yorkshire so I don't see why we should be expected to support Murray in the tennis just because he's British. It's different when it comes to Olympics/Davis Cup and they're competing for the country but the Grand Slams and most tournaments are individual events.
When I was younger I used to support the "English" team in the European Cup as they were "representing" us.. then we get the CL and 4 teams every year full of foreign players and it's all money go round.. I usually support the opposition even German teams vs Chelsea, Man U and the Arse. Spurs I don't mind they're new to it.. Leeds when they had their run I supported as I was living in Turkey and so it was Yorkshire or Turkey? But back in the football league I want to beat them.. So it depends on the circumstances..
Loads of people don't like Murray and the hype that surrounds him, I watched it and Djokovic owned him the entire match.
