Its Epsom Open Day tomorrow and well worth a visit as there are some great yards and great characters among the trainers. Racing at Epsom follows to make it a great day out and here are some that I fancy.

2.05 PREROGATIVE 6/1 EW. Is the one with experience and is very consistent. Hannon does really well with his juveniles here and I cannot see this one at least being placed.

3.15 HUMIDOR 9/2 NAP. Won this race off 3lb higher last year and hinted at a return to form at Goodwood last time.

3.50 FIRE FIGHTING 11/8. Way too good for these if he isnt fed up of running every few days recently.

5.25 LORELINA 11/4 NB. Is on a steep upward curve and is 2 from 2 at this tricky venue. I still rate Ed Greatrex as the best 3lb claimer around at the moment and this one can make the WFA count.

Very speculative one here and a great training performance required after so long off. However if back to anywhere near its best after such an absence then has a definite place chance and seems a massive price:

    3:20 Ripon - Tres Coronas 25/1 ew

Ran alright last week finishing second at Musselburgh. I'm hoping the first time cheekpieces and taking weight off his back will see him go one better.

310 MEABURN DREAM gets an uninspiring booking in the plate but at 28/1 i am willing to have a WIN bet Med has burnt around this track before and if ridden prominent should take some pegging back.
A few others i fancy are
    Scent of power 3s
    Whinging whillie 7s
    Frozen force 7/2
    Feed the goater 9/2
    Good luck all who play

Quite a few others I fancy just small stakes win doubles and trebles for a bit of interest, off to work soon so hoping I've a few winners by the time I finish tonight:

    3:15 Epsom - Humidor 7/2
    3:30 Cartmel - Endeavor 6/1
    3:50 Epsom - Fire Fighting 13/8
    4:00 Newcastle - Kiwi Bay 10/3
    4:20 Epsom - Eton Rambler 4/1
    4:55 Epsom - Sennockian Star 7/2
    5:15 Downpatrick - Isabella Liberty 11/4
    5:45 Cartmel - Lilywhite Gesture 5/2

Anyone with a Corals account get in quick - they have ****ed up the Cartmel winning distance market - should be over 42 lengths @ 7/4 but they are quoting over 12 lengths at 7/4 <ok>

Hills are under 30 lengths at 7/4 <cheers>

They have now changed it - anyone know if they can void my bet once they realize they quoted wrong?

Doubt it, they probably can but i doubt they'll notice.

About 4 years ago Paddy Power always use to have a 10 second delay in football live play, e..g i'd sit there with fingers on the trigger watching a match with as an example £500 on Barcelona next goal when they were playing and as soon as they'd score on my tv i'd quickly place the bet and it would be accepted and i'd get paid all the time, Stopped doing it after i did it with a Porto match in the CL, £750 got the bet on and the ****ing goal was offside <laugh> did make a nice profit still though overall

Got a horse in play once @ 12/1 after the race had finished too haha

Yes they can. If its clearly an obvious error they can void. Hope they would give you a free bet or something though.

    2.20 Cartmel Bellaney Knight 1/1
    7.00 Roscommon Simenon 5/4

No singles just played the win double which pays 7/2.

Normally I give bank holiday cards a miss because the courses tend to put on rubbish knowing that people will show up anyway.

However, there are a couple of races of interest at Ripon today. The jockey to follow there may be Paul Hanagan.

In the 2:45, Hanagan is on Shufoog for William Haggas but the short-price is reflective of its chances given that its main rival Angel Grace has not been out since April.

I definitely like Hanagan’s mount in the Ripon Rowels handicap (3:20), Richard Fahey’s HOME CUMMINS, who comes here after a very good third in a competitive Goodwood handicap. Her principal opponents seem to be James Fanshawe’s Knight Owl, coming off a two month layoff, and the two David O’Meara runners, Treasury Notes (who has valuable course form) and Rousayan.

Ros 5.30-Valentana win 5/1- If you backed any McCreey/Lee/Filly combo this season you would be doing rather well.Up 6lbs for her last two wins I think the old girl can oblige again.
