Nice is a fantastic place - popping over there for a long weekend next March.glad you had a good time FML.
It was really beautiful, and we stayed at a lovely place about 15 minutes from Nice. Although we went to the sea front near the airport on the Sunday afternoon, and nearly everything was closed. Even getting a bottle of water was a real mission to find. Also, I like a sandy beach.
I can give you a few ideas in that regard - and no imported rocks all over our beach, either

That long weekend and expenses for this Wedding has cleared me out, so no proper holiday this year. Next year I want a nice all inclusive break somewhere. Just relax and get looked after. It was around the Radisson Blu area, in fact we had lunch at it's little beach side version. Had a fantastic lunch in there.
Ok, I stayed at the Holiday Inn near the airport which was excellent (back there next year) and got the train into Nice Ville. There were some nice restaruants there and I!d recommend the area,
