Hopefully the first thing the Chinese do is confirm Phelan as the manager for us. Wonder if Clemence will stay, I think he has good connections with the Tottenham staff which has helped us over the years and is well regarded by the lads too

Bournemouth had 47% possession at home against Man U. 9% more than we did.
More shots than us. More shots on target. More corners than us. And scored a goal against Man U.

Thats having a go.... Not sitting back and defending for 90 minutes. Then hoofing high ball up to Hernandez to get brushed aside like a fly by Bailly.

Phelan Out.
Give it a rest.

Phelan has said himself that we are playing a certain way at this moment in time out of necessity. He has to be smart with his tactics, preserving energy when possible and seeing the match out without getting injuries or conceding goals. And to be fair to him its worked wonders. You'd soon be moaning if his tactics were all out attack for 90 minutes and we ended up with even more players out injured.

For me personally he's been great, it's like the 2.0 version of Bruce's tactics.. tight at the back but the shackles are off going forward. We've seen some good football being played and its evident that the players are really playing for him.

Time will tell how we'll play if he manages to get 5 or 6 players in. If he can keep us as defensively sound as he has whilst adding a bit more to our attacking game I think 99% of people will be happy.

<laugh> 2 shots on target.

so attacking more wasnt tried as we would get more injuries?? ****ing hell thats a new one.

Just a question Chazz... .. if Meyler had buried his opportunity and we'd won, how would you have reflected on the tactics and Phelan..?

Tell me you aren't serious Chazz , with the players we have available to us what are you expecting ?
We had 13 fully fit professional footballers out there. Why accept you just have to hang on? So we dont have a squad, only 11 can play.
What would have happened if Man U scored early? Just carry on and keep the score down?

He isn't serious, he's basically taken a mishmash of different gripes people have had over the last few months that he found ridiculous and is now putting them forward in an attempt to 'show' those people up.

I do it all the time, it's effective, if not a little irritating.

Ah fair enough I thought he'd been out in the sun too long drinking. He is on holiday you know.

There was actually a big late middle-aged fella (Chazz maybe?) in front of us in the East Stand coming out with this sort of stuff yesterday whereby everybody else could see what a great performance the lads were putting up, people were telling him to shut the **** up, just drunken nonsense, consensus was totally clueless about football

All footballers lose a bit of form occasionally and it's probably the same for forum posters, hope you refind your mojo mate this faux- Hat stuff is fairly risible there's only one of him thankfully or this forum would be as unreadable and dull as some of the others, wouldn't want to have to scroll past your comments
