Regarding new signings - they'll still have to get used to playing together with the rest of the squad, plus getting used to how the coaches want them to play.

Which isn't an argument against new signings. Just that there were some good individual performances out there, it's the team that has yet to gel. That will come right.

We have a talented squad. I have every faith that we have recruited a talented manager with his own ideas and a definite plan. Anyone panicking at this point in the season needs to have a word with themselves.

I'm not going to read too much into any link to Chambers, it's been banded around for a long time now. But there is no doubt that Arsenal don't need four RBs, so in theory there might be truth in it.

If I'm wrong though and we did sign Chambers, along with Boufal, then also adding either a striker or a DM would make this a very good final week. (The reason why I put a DM in there is not because I think we need another CM - quantity wise we have enough. But making such a signing would surely lead to a change in the system, with us going back to playing two DMs - something which I think most of us will agree is important. Sticking with the current system though, it's a striker who I want this week all day long).

I still think we need to give this system more time tbh. We've only played 3 games. Away to one of the best teams in the league and 2 home games against the type of teams we generally struggle against.

Give it 6-8 games I reckon.

Zaza, who apparently didn't want to go on loan, has gone on loan to West Ham. We really aren't getting a striker in are we?

Did you see Charlie Austin's touches on BBC football page yesterday? Nineteen and not one inside of the penalty area. Somehow I think he definitely is not being played correctly in this 'system' considering inside the penalty area is where he does his damage.

I am just glad fans don't run football clubs. Their apparent modus operandi would be:
1) buy every available player...especially if he has scored one spectacular goal.
2) sell no player that any other club fancies..........ever.
3) sell any player that makes one mistake that costs a game.
4) abuse your team because it is a well known fact that all people work better when upset.

I don't think that's fair really. I haven't seen anyone suggest 1, 2 or 3.

Puel said in his prematch interview how much he values JRod and his talent, but that he needs to play. I presumed the pressure to let him go on loan was from Jay himself...perhaps the club have just realised (what we all know)....we are light up front!!!
Start jay and long against arsenal I would, were not going to stop them scoring are we so if we want anything out of the game we need to go for it.
