Hey Bill, why don't you write down two Saints teams based on what we have plus Boufal and just see if it is slightly possible that we could do play those games.

Remember that a player can be on the bench one game having played the previous.

Yes, I'd like additions, but why can't some of you keep from the extremes. It isn't "no way," that's a silly statement. It is "more players would help"

I can name two sides.

Totally agree on Austin. My son commented "Blimey he's lost some weight. looks well fit!!" Made some great runs and will reserve my judgement on the "offsides" until I see the replays because most of them at first sight (on stream) looked onside to me even with the idiot McCann telling us how good a game Mason and his pals were having.

Just reflects how fans think. Two family members rang me after the game saying how poor they thought Saints were. Neither of them are exactly kneejerkers.

I thought Saints were very poor (and I'm a happy clapper), but there are ways of expressing it and dealing with it. Some people just lose their ****. Some of those are on here.

The ones I love the most are the "I told you so" ones.
 
To clarify my comments on Austin, I enjoyed his runs (although the second half one where Davis slipped him in, he really should have stayed onside), it's the system he doesn't fit. To have him tracking back on the right is just madness and the same sort of lunacy that managed to make Kane and Vardy look utterly toothless for England

My granddaughter told me yesterday that she is intending to become a sports journalist. When I asked her why she said so that she could spend half the year trying to sell Saints best players and the other half of the year writing about why they were stupid to do so. What is it they say about "out of the mouths of babes and sucklings"?

Come off it. If a supporter on 30 grand a year, pays 1 grand to follow his club, you can bet that's a larger percent than the owners are paying to 'own' the club.

This is a football club. This is a business which relies on the public to also pay money to take part in. Therefore they need to be given satisfaction for their money. The club is not hers, or any one person's, so if she wants to sit on top of the throne she has to respect the people who bring the regular income in, and earn their respect. The respect from fans comes if ambition is shown. If a multi-billionaire is gonna be stringent, then it's better for them to not run a football club.

Btw - this is not a complaint about Kat per se, but rather a comment on football club ownership in general

She probably does respect BT and Sky

I disagree Black with lots you've written here. It is her business and she can run it how she so chooses. I believe the real problem lies in fans just wanting money being spent and not caring , who , how and when.

In fact it's simpler than that. We're not winning, so fans are moaning. That's the long and short of it.

No but a good FB/CB right now would help. One thats available too. Maybe time to be selfish and think what suits us rather than moan about something from the past. Known quantity/quality, available, knows a few players, knows club, but you'd rather us ignore it? No sense to me. Three days left. Might not be ideal, but it fits and fits well.

So the fans should have no say whatsoever?

The club is only 'hers' because she inherited it from her father. She didn't found it or anything! A football club 'belongs' - in spirit - to the fans. Club owners should appreciate this.

Also I think it is fairly belittling to suggest that the fans are just a bunch of clueless, greedy dimwits.
