Good. That's what I was hoping. Can pulls garuantee that though?

I am not convinced WBA and Pulis is right for Jay... take Derby County last night. Lost to Burton Albion and have only had one goal in 54 attempts over 5 games.... somewhere like that would be perfect for him. Lots of games, lots of chances and lots of confidence.

My prediction is that he ends up getting cameos from the bench at WBA, if he goes there.

Advantage about sending him to West Brom would be he has the opportunity to take points off our rivals but not against us. As West Brom shouldn't be a direct rival this season could be good for us. IF he takes/gets the opportunity.

Sat next to Rickie :(

If he goes, would be extremely surprised if we see him in a Saints shirt again.
You may be right and I would have agreed with you initially, but perhaps it is as Puel says. A good player who needs to play to finish his rehabilitation, but is unlikely to get it here. All best wishes to Jay and I hope he shines this season...even if we still don't have a space for him, he can find himself a good move next season (and kerching for Saints :)). A good lad who has been unlucky.

You might yet get your wish over him not joining them. Although they want Jay on loan, they also want another PL player on loan (I don't know who) - but they've only got one loan space left. Might come down to loan fee/wages. Might come down to who wins out between manager and board. Might come down to WBA's view of Jay's fitness.

That's interesting.

I'd just be happier if Jay is to go on loan, that he actually goes somewhere where he'll be really likely to play most games. I also think he'll spend more time tracking back at West Brom than building his confidence going forward, if he's not warming the bench.

For me, if warming the bench is enough, keep him here, play him in the league cup and the last two Europa games when we've already qualified (:)) or send him to a championship team where he'll have games twice a week, likely have lots of attacking play and build his confidence. Review it in Jan and bring him back if he's back up to speed.

15 championship goals against decent opposition would do him better than 2 goals against Premier League opposition. IMO

Maybe we are only willing to release him once we have definite incomings & perhaps they are not willing to wait. An injury to a forward at present would put Rodriguez in contention to start!

My wishlist stands at a good CB (which we need even if Fonte recovers), a DM, and Stanciu. Don't see us signing any of them.

When Puel says one or two might come in, I wonder if he's including Boufal in this. Because if he is, then that could well be it for us.
