James Perch v Stephen Warnock. If that doesn't get the people of Wigan flocking to a retail park somewhere near the town centre then I don't know what will. Don't really get the point of playing Cousins wide. Looks like a fish out of water. Henry- meh.
A typically conservative and predictable starting line up from JFH. The only innovation is to play Perch at right back and drop Caulker, thus partner Onuoha with Hall. I am not sure if this is on merit or because he is the captain. Again, this is the starting line up and I expect the objective is to hold, contain and to frustrate, and I will be looking how and when JFH uses the available substitutes. At the end if the day, JFH will be assessed on the result. Euphoria with a win, no complaints with a draw, and a potential meltdown with defeat. All I can add is .... COYR's!!!!!!
Thanks. I've missed that. I'm racking my brain on the effectiveness of the Hall-Onuoha central defensive partnership. No doubt we will soon find out.
Not much alternative really. I've liked Kpekawa every time I've seen him and apparently he's more of a CB than a LB but not in the squad either.
Cousins booked. Sounds dull so far. Dave Whelan telling anyone who will listen that he broke his leg at the cup final.
Wigan goal disallowed from a set piece for off-side. Cousins and Henry booked. A few half chances for Polter, Chery and Ngbakoto. Wigan have another close effort from another set piece.
