I don't need to, as you cannot prove the statement to be correct.
That is how proof of propositions work. <Logic 101>
Yes I can, have you won a old division 1 title or premiership title since the early 60's?
Thought not, CASE CLOSED M' LUD

Well said! Spurs are just still not over the fact they finished 3rd in a two horse race :D I understand it's pretty humiliating for them after all the big talk they gave it with the manager and Kane saying they were coming for us. Meanwhile Claudio and the players kept focused and DESERVEDLY got the trophy

You really are a total fook wit arn't you ? A bitter one at that !
What were you lot singing ? Erm.. " We're coming for you , we're coming for you, Leicester City , we're coming for you ! " That along with " Lurch " Kane and his silly predatory Lions tweet , he sent to Vardy <laugh><laugh>
Then BUMP !!
The greatest bottle job, the mother of all bottle jobs !
After this calamitous fall of seismic proportions, you would think a wise move would be gracious in defeat and perhaps give a little more thought to what you say in future ?
Nope, not you hiag, you blindly carry on with the same verbal diarrhoea you spewed out last season (as entertaining as it was/is <laugh> )
I think you should have credited this thread to your beloved Spurs fella and may be started it earlier, say mid-April :emoticon-0103-cool:

... wouldn't be getting too bothered by HIAG's predictable drivel right now lads ... he's on a bit of a deflection mission at the moment as he has been ripped to shreds across various threads recently and is now contending with the virtual equivalent of the menopause <laugh> ... predominantly it stems from having accepted a bet on the Spurs vs Arsenal finishing positions last season at a time in the season when all the odds were in his team's favour and Spurs still had an excellent chance of winning the title, and nconceivable that they could blow second to boot...

As we now know, Spurs capitulated and HIAG lost the bet which was a change of avatar for the loser chosen from a number of suggestions by a neutral poster (not the Gooner counter party to the bet) ... now unlike our own @AKCJ who lost a similar bet to the Hull lads a few season's ago, and changed his avatar for the whole of the next season accordingly, HIAG has mirrored his team's end of season form and spectacularly bottled the challenge at hand. ..

Undeniably this has now made him a bit of a laughing stock in general and lost him a lot of respect from a good number of neutral posters - posters who really care nothing about the Spurs Arsenal rivalry but perhaps see the keeping of a man's word as sacrosanct ... even on a footie forum ...

Now on to his fluke and spiral claims ...

The team that topped the form figures for the EPL in the last third of the 2014/2015 season was Leicester City. That the club then continued in same vein for the enire 2015/2016 season was not a fluke ... merely a maintaining of form, good management, determination, clinical finishing and incredible mental resolve .. the latter a quality tangibly missing amongst our closest rivals last season.

Spurs fans were understandably upset by our success, but more in the context of the failings of their own club to grasp the best (for some, possibly, only) chance they would ever have to win the EPL title - but I do believe that for the vast majority they would have been right behind our acheivement had they had no possibilty of winning the league themselves- there is no real rivalry between the clubs.

But every club has its' gonads ... so it also follows that, on the law of averages, there will be the odd one or two disingenuos individuals who rather than acknowledging a phenomenal acheivement will convince themselves that it came down to some slice of luck, freak or fluke ... and that the converse has, in turn, somehow robbed them of those acheivements ... now some good fortune may indeed win you a Cup ... the rub of the green in 6 games can make you FA Cup winners ... but to be the best team on points haul over 48 consecutive games in the EPL is not down to luck or fluke ... it's simply because you have been the best team and fully deserve the rewards that come with that. <ok>

Classic, Accurate and to the point<applause>

Logic 101 for Ginger Marks ...

Proposition :

But Europa territory will be their forte next season as things return to the original London pecking order.

Premise :

Spurs will not win the 2016-17 CL final, and will finish 5-7th in the 2016-17 PL.

Proof :

<show your workings>

So what have learnt today about Ginger Marks ??

1. Does not have the intellect to understand the basic laws of proof.
2. Has some serious HIAGnation going on.

Yeah, I kinda think that winning the league title in one season then, in the very next, battling relegation and getting shat on in the CL and arse-pumped in the Europa is probably going to be a bit of a bigger "bottle job" than us finishing 3rd last season.

The sooner Leicester is relegated and you Foxes fans are back on the Championship board enjoying spats with Ipswich fans, the better off we'll be on this board.
<ok>
<laugh> Your a sad little bitter fantasist Hiag you really are , though I do hope that one day you will see Spurs win the league as I don't suppose you were born in 1961 !
Bottle ? I seem to recall we held our nerve last season to be champions , ten points clear, eleven clear of you and four of them points taken from your good self !
So keep up the dreaming fella and thank you in advance for the points this season that insure our survival !

@bambi

<rofl>

Boy! That's one of the best meltdowns I have seen on this board for ages, mate!

... you seriously don't understand what a meltdown is that is quite obvious ... and I even find myself being a little concerned for your well being... your behaviour is becoming more and more erratic with undertones of deflection, delusion, desperation, denial and even some borderline derangement ..

I have to say that Spurs fans belligerent attitude towards Leicester made me lose a **** ton of respect for them in the last few months.
Talk about bitterness on a whole new level. And zero class.
They are literally the only set of fans being complete ****s towards Leicester. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so disrespectful.

I think you've got that all wrong, Bodi.

Speaking personally, I have every respect for what LCFC did. What eats at me - and I'm sure I speak for a lot of Spurs fans - is that there are handful of Fox fans who do not accept that there was any element of fluke to their triumph. If there was no fluke, then we would expect to see Leicester competing, this season, for the title. My attitude towards Fox fans would certainly be a lot better if they demonstrated some humility.

If Spurs won the title, you'd never catch me crowing about it, or over-egging our position in World football.
<whistle>

I said halfway through last season, when it became clear Chelsea were going to achieve **** all, that if we weren't going to win it, I wouldn't mind seeing Spurs win it just so I could see the uncontrollable beast you would become, the Arsenal fans would probably slit their wrists!
I can imagine you being nigh on unbearable in that situation HIAG <laugh>
