Different bookies have different rules which bookies was it? Coral are quite **** with regards forecasts, withdrawn horses non runner money back etc, I've been burnt a few times by them in shop. I know Paddy Power you can do forecast in any race over 3 runners

Yeah it's Corals, was a little baffled because I'm sure I've done this many times before, mind you it's normally online.

Any Currency's disqualification from the Cross Country at Cheltenham this year today raises another issue for betting.

Should all Josies Orders bets now become winners and deserve to be paid out? If the result changes because of foul play from the winner, shouldn't the people that backed it also get what it transpires is rightfully theirs? Is that punishing the bookie who's already paid out on Any Currency being fptp? Does it not punish the betting public more who steamed into Josies that day?

I know for a fact i'd be sitting on a reasonable payout if Josies had won that day but obviously miss out because of the rules of racing. Very unsatisfactory to be perfectly honest.

Likewise would have a nice payout had he won! Already asked the question last night - I knew the answer I was going to get but still <laugh>

Guys, how many runners do you need in a race before a fc is payed. Last night in my local bookies in a real mad rush I put a fc on a 4 horse race with the fav beating the outsider. It duly came in and on the screen it said fc £7.82. I went to collect my winnings and the guy didn't payout as he said it was only a 4 horse race. But he said my stake for the fc would go onto the winner instead. So I received a payout but not as much as I should have. Should I go back and complain or was he right? The race was the 7.40 Kempton. Cheers.

19.23 FORECASTS

    • Straight Forecasts are accepted only in races of three or more runners. However, should a bet be accepted in error on a two-runner race, or a race is reduced to two runners, Straight Forecast bets will stand, and be settled as a Single, at SP, on the horse named to finish first.
Mick as the race in question had 4 runners you should be paid out on the forecast
Good Luck <cheers>

I thought 5 but I checked on betfair and they will allow it with 3 too ??? My "mentor" had said to never do a R/F unless you have at least 5 or more runners...perhaps for price reasoning, apologies for what appears false info.

I always thought you needed at least 3 runners for a forecast bet so I had a look at their rules:-

Cheers Attivo, I will go and question them tomorrow. Not talking wheelbarrow loads of money but there is a difference between paying out on the 11/10 winner and a fc of £7.82.
