Since Jürgen Klopp took over Liverpool have conceded 45 goals in 31 Premier League games. (SkySports)
and how many for other clubs? that 1.45 per game and we've let in 5 in 2 this season. its probably... 10 too many. we barely tried a leg in the last 5 games last season let swansea have 3, newcastle 2...... barely tried. then let southampton have 3 after being 2-0 up. its just that same old attitude, that games are not important or that they are alreay won. if lfc had won 4-1 v arsenal just by being solid and not letting arsenal back in or even lost 0-1 to burnley after yearly goal thats another 3 goal off. we leak due to bad attitudes which annoys me... you can almost feel the games where we wont turn up at this point.
Sunderland have turned down the chance to loanLiverpooldefender Mamadou Sakho according to theDaily Mail. Per the source, Black Cats boss David Moyes is looking for defensive options withEvertonoffering £18million for Lamine Kone, John O’Shea injured and Younes Kaboul’s summer exit however, Sakho is not on his wish-list. Moyes is reported to be happy with Papy Djilobodji on the left-side of his defence and despite Sakho being available he is not interested in the 26-year-old. The Reds want to send Sakho out on loan to get the defender ‘back on track’ according to Times reporter Tony Barrett. http://www.turkish-football.com/tur...-sunderland-reject-bid-for-18m-liverpool-ace/?
lucas is feeling it now. he just wants a game and now sahko is ****ed he can't go get one. I doubt any fan will feel agaisnt poor lucas... bar jimmy...
I like Lucas very much. He's devoted his best years to us for very little in return, much like Reina both model professionals not treated as fairly as they should have been imo. P.S. don't anyone bring up the Reina flirting with Barcelona argument it has nothing to do with the years of good service he gave us.
Agree on Lucas. Won't have a bad word to say about him, always gave his best despite the **** he took in first couple of years. Reina did flirt with barca which ruined things a bit though
Lucas loves everything about Liverpool and the club. As a player he probably isn't good enough, but his attitude is miles ahead of Sakho
I dunno... but i get the feeling the drug bullshit is the last bit of the issue.... I think he's acted the cock too. remember even rogers... couldn't deal with him on pitch running about where he felt like and his comments about when we were linked to another french player... "one mad man is more than enough" I think we are seeing the end of this chest thumping bravado. Looking down at agger spitting out a tooth and just getting on with it, playing in constant pain and this guy pounding his chest screaming at the stands about how much of a beast he is. A hyppia who quietly went about his business....
Lucas is a nice guy and a good professional, and I wish him all the best. It's not his fault he has very little ability as a footballer to play either in midfield or defence. Good luck Lucas, I salute you.
Well I suppose he's gathered in a few shekels to keep him warm in his old age, but yes - I agree totally - a model professional throughout his time with us so far. Unlike Reina who flir........ Oops, sorry.
I find the timing of the announcement of his drug clearing and being offered on loan very convenient. Now that he's been cleared, I suspect clubs are now more interested in him.
Suppose it's the negative side for a player who signs a longer contract. You'll get lazy bastards like Enrique who happily sit on their wages when it goes wrong half way through, you've players like Lucas who get trapped due to circumstances.. I've always liked him..I think his injuries took a little off his game and he didn't have enough to afford that loss. But if I had to settle for one of the "average" players we've had over last ten years it would always be Lucas....kind of player I want my young players around. I think it may be a bit of a misunderstanding with Pearce. The article separates the two issues more clearly than the tweet...think it was the curse of too little characters...... Unlike it seems Sakho...everyone loves a bit of a lark but he seems to be heading the Balotelli way... The attempt to loan is clearly a message that his attitude didn't improve in response to the clear warning the sending home was supposed to effect. The loan seems like last chance saloon to me.
Lucas Leiva right up until december 2011 was a good player. Jimmys mouth runs a lot but I can distinctly remember the player he developed himself into before that cruciate ligament injury in the league cup against chelsea the real story is he never got near where he was before it as he lost a lot of mobility. I agree with frank. i'd love that lucas back now. that one that was really just emerging as a vital player for us. then again........... henderson could be thought of similarly. he's nowhere near where he was when all he did was hare about chasing for 90mins.... a lot of very average stuff closer to goal gets forgiven. We don't need 11 suarez's no matter how good the attitude and work rate would be. we don't need a team of carragher's either. we need a good mix of mindsets... but we REALLY need guys like all of these who actually play for 90mins week in week out.
Tbh, the tweet seems to me to be talking about two distinct but related issues rather than a cause and effect thing, but I haven't read the article. I thought Lucas might be being a bit over-sensitive, or maybe the nuance was lost on him, English not being his first language after all. It could be the beginning of the slow sack for Sakho, who knows? It would be a shame - though I don't think he's as great as some seem to, he's decent enough. If his attitude is wrong though, that can be bad for team morale. I'm sure that behind Klopp's jolly exterior is a ruthless authority that won't take any ****.
If Sakho is loaned out does anyone actually expect him to still be at the club when next summers window closes ?
