Hiding in the bushes
Seeing as they give out gongs like sweeties what do you reckon the chances are that Mo Farah will get a Knighthood?

Who else is going to be made a Lord or Lady after Rio 2016? Murray? Trott?

Tough one for Sports Personality of the Year.

his 'type' are not fit to be knights of the realm

i am currently draughting a letter to our gracious Queen to implore her to see reason

Hold on a mo... Nothing wrong with enobling the odd Paddy just so long as he respects the crown, but Bono? That can't be right. Wtf was he knighted for, services to his own ego? Think you've god that one wrong old chap.

All KBEs though Wogan became a British citizen and so he could be called Sir Terry Wogan.

"The British Embassy in Dublin takes great pleasure in announcing that Her Majesty The Queen has appointed Bono to be an honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to the music industry and for his humanitarian work," according to an embassy news release.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair said the award is well-deserved for Bono's "remarkable" humanitarian work and for his "outstanding contribution" to music with U2.<laugh>

Which reminds me :What's the difference between God and Bono? God doesn't walk through the streets of Dublin thinking he's Bono.

if someone booted that Bono **** right in the baws I would, despite my hatred for the monarchy, march naked around Buckingham palace petitioning for their knighthood.

We should import more Somalians to run races and other sporty stuff on our behalf.
They are pretty damned good at the water events too. Should get a gold in the chasing a supertanker across the Indian Ocean freestyle. Combine it with shooting and they are naturals.
