We're going for Vicente Iborra apparently. Decent goal scoring record last season. Be really happy if this comes off
Good is he?

Sorry if this may upset a few but imo the squad is weak ,regardless of who we've brought in for example 2 strikers in for 3 strikers out , no striker on the bench yesterday now if McBurnie is to shine or at least have a chance then why not have him on the bench rather than the likes of Ki who hasn't featured all summer Llorente tired and with the amount of possession we had around their goal mouth surely he would have been the better option .The bench yesterday had little or no creativity on it and we looked the worse for it when they came on . Montero showed very few glimpses of what he could do but the lack of understanding between him and Kingsley was apparent when the spaces were there but Kingsley was left watching and not supporting .Routeledge is well just Routledge , Barrow is good for 20 minutes and should have been replaced earlier , if the tactics are to feed the striker from the wings then we need wingers who can cross a bloody ball in the first instance .The best period for us was the 1st 20 minutes after that that game could have gone either way.To me and no disrespect to Hull but those were 3 valuable points dropped at home .

Well if true this is the reason he doesn't want to come here, a wage over £125k a week and a move to China on probably something similar is clearly what he wants. This lets bring Bony back to Swansea is incredibly naive by certain fans, as if it's a forgone conclusion, shows how out of touch of reality they are.
Has he publicly come out and said he doesn't want to come here?
Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist does it? Has he actually said he wants to come here? If he wanted too then his agent would be taking actions for the club to go and get him. So based on the fact he hasn't means that he doesn't want to come back here. Besides we can't match the salary expectations he wants
It doesn't matter if we don't make a bid.
But you don't actually know if we have made a bid, and we will still wont be able to match the salary he's getting now. He will not accept a salary decrease to bring him in line with what our top salary is now.
The problem Valley is that it's naive to think that all we have to do is offer something and then he will fall over himself to accept it. The reality is that he's probably got better options than us. You need to accept that, and don't be a Dai and blame Huw for Bony not coming back here.
We haven't made a bid, SSN would have reported it. Also we can afford his salary as we've sold Ash, Ayew, Jonjo, Eder, Palo and freed up wages from Gomis - Now if this were to happen and Bony rejected us, then fair enough, we move on, but at least it would show that the club has ambition and is trying to bring in quality players, especially with Baston out for 3-4 weeks.
Im not blaming Huw for not signing Bony, but I do blame him and these Yanks for the lack of quality brought in this summer (Baston the exception of course).
Relying on the media for an argument of we haven't made a bid is nothing more than naive, they don't know everything, and they certainly don't report accurately, they just use guesswork!
As for his wage demands, don't you actually realise that if he came here on over £100k a week other players will be demanding more, it will spiral out of control pretty quickly!
They have got rid of players yes, but you are neglecting the money for the players brought in, and increased salaries for players like Siggy and so on, really you have a completely blinkered view on this.
How can you blame the yanks for not bringing in people when they have been in power a month? Do you expect them to come in and just throw money at this in a way that is irresponsible because of fickle fans, who have absolutely no patience?

Perhaps the Yanks are keeping their cash for something else.......It doesn't matter if we don't make a bid.

@TheRugbyPaper report Swansea City's American investors are interested in the Ospreys and [HASHTAG]#Pro12Rugby[/HASHTAG]
They constantly talked about ambition like a broken record. Where is this ambition? Typical Yanks, they should put up or shut up. As of yet, they haven't invested a penny into the club nor squad.
We only need 2 or 3 quality signings and we'll be fine. It would be the difference between having a good season and ending up in a relegation battle and the Burnley and Hull games make me fear the latter.
Other than up front, we haven't strengthened the team.
As for clubs putting in bids, when they do, SSN 9/10 are correct. They were correct on Ash, Ayew, Llorente, Benteke, Baston, Joe, Pogba et all.
