Genuinely though Tobes, are you not a little worried by the lack of activity in the transfer market thus far?

I haven't been following your transfer activity so no idea if you are close to getting a few new faces in but to me it seems all quiet regarding incoming players at Goodison, all the focus and effort seems to be on keeping Lukaku, even though I'm not convinced that anybody actually wants him as most top clubs already have their strikers bar possibly Arsenal.

Bolasie and Williams are both good additions.

Forgot about Bolasie to be honest. Very dangerous player but really needs to up his end product to justify the big fee. 5 goals in a league season isn't good enough for a winger of his price but he could improve that with playing in a more adventurous team.

 

Playing with better players around him will help him I'm sure. We overpaid imo, but I trust Koeman and Walsh's judgement in the player. Palace looked nothing when he was out of their side last season

A new keeper, another CB, a striker and maybe another attacking midfield player is what I expect in the next 10 days.

 

Bad news for Liverpool fans. Sunderland are losing. Hopefully a draw is still possible.

A new striker is a must because you have nothing behind Lukaku and its no good having a striker that keeps agitating for a move each summer, even if he does stay.

If you get all of those in (and they are of good quality) then I reckon you'll have a good season and qualify for Europa league football for next season.

 

Lukaku will sign a new contract now he's said he wants to stay.

But he needs some competition and now Koeman has told Niasse he's ****, and obviously doesn't fancy Kone, then it's obvious he's intending bringing someone in.

 

You still after Kone then . thing is do you need another CB ?
Holgate has looked very promising (admittedly i've only seen highlights) to add to Jags , Mori and Williams

Holgate is very promising but he's only 19 and Funes Mori is erratic. We're playing with 3 CB's don't forget

 

That was hilariously blunt by Koeman. Actually nice to see a manager that's not afraid to tell it how it is. Players are far too willing to sit in the stands every week and not play because managers are too afraid to call them out publicly e.g. Jose Enrique.

yeah i jwould just worry you will end up going back to 2 CB's then you have 4 who expect to be regular first teamers for 2 places plus Holgate.

Mind you after yesterday perhaps we need to go to 3 CB's
