Just trying to balance it out. Scrooge club Vs Mercenary. Could be either party taking the piss. Like I said earlier. That's not a combo which will ever get on.
Not sure there`s any other sort nowadays mate. As you say it`s a difficult balancing act. We can`t afford to be too generous. We`re just about starting to recover from that. At the same time we won`t get top players unless we pay top money. No choice really but to trust Moyes, hope this Bain lad knows what he`s about and Short plays his part.
He has us by the bollocks and the club has him the same. Over the next week we could approach other clubs badly in need of a CB, Arsenal the most prominent for instance, and look at player swap/cash deals. A couple of fixtures to go before results send clubs into panic mode but if does not get his move he will be an expensive commodity to have sitting around. No move now and he has to play out of his skin to show just how good he is.
One would have thought that these African's would be grateful of huge wages after being raised in abject poverty in war torn countries. How much is the average Ivorian on? 2 quid a month?
It`s a strange one this isn`t it? If his wages are that crap he`s not going to be that expensive to keep sitting around. Of course crap wages for a footballer are fortunes to the rest of us but he needs to remember that Short has a bloody sight more money than him and it might not be wise to play hard ball. If he needs to play out of his skin to show just how good he is he`s not going to do that sitting on his arse. I`d like to see a compromise but I`m not sure it`s gone beyond that.
I reckon things are too public to be sorted out easily if we believe the papers. The back injury is a despicable move in my book and I am just so glad Moyes revealed it openly. On his wages though, outside the super stars players wages in France are buttons.
Please use a condom to ensure that my Ferrari pulling herd is always pretty. Only one virgin a month will be allowed.

Depends which kind of African he is. I worked out there for a while. Just like here there is an upper class over there. The people I worked for said they would never come to the UK because they liked having servants who they could pay f'all. While most Africans are poor as **** there are still a lot that in their terms are well off, they are some very arrogant ****s I can tell you. Generally the ones that make it as footballers are the ones from this upper class as they can afford the best coaching, schools, equipment etc... As for Kone? **** him 3.5 years in the reserves will end his career. Short can afford to let him rot if he wants. An example should be made. I give him 3 weeks and he will be back playing hard again praising the manager.
If this is true I love Moyes. No player is bigger than 40,000 plus supporters which let's face it is the club, managers owners and players come and go but we are always here.
