I've not been tbh but I do have a habit of getting late night flights back. Probably because it's the cheaper flights and bcos it means I can get to departures abroad in the afternoon with the family on a go slow.

What I don't get is why I can't doze off for more than 30mins on the flight!!

The jet lag flying east from the states is crippling. You basically lose half a day and because flights travel through the night and you're chasing the sun, if feels like a short amount of darkness. You see the sun set, then rise again a few hours later. Then when you land it's half way through the following day and you've skipped one.

I tend to stay overnight in a cheap travelodge at near the airport and get the train home the following day.

My sister and brother in law came back on exactly one of those flights ypu described from the States in July and they were ****ed <laugh>

I dropped off the spare set of keys and they looked wrecked. I didnt hear from them for about 3 days <laugh>

Yes HAIG , please change you're aviator a soon as possible so piskie and his bum buddy gang , with dildos in hand , move on .

The segments will be in a state of revolt when they read that comment, Roofie.

...hope your family are alright <ok>.

Thank you.

My wife was terribly shaken up. Our 14 year old, who was sitting in the front passenger seat suffered a few minor cuts from where the windscreen exploded inwards. Myself and my 6 year old, who were both sitting in the back, were asleep and were woken by the impact.

The car is a write-off. The police and the salvage crew told us that we are all very lucky to be alive, and if you saw the car you'd understand why they'd say that.

We were dumped at Winchester Services with all our bags and cases, and were it not for the generosity of two family members, who drove some distance to collect us, we would have been stranded for many more hours than we were.

It is very difficult to let too much get you down when you have this kind of experience, so I don't mind the segments having their fun. It makes them happy.

By the way, I will be changing my avatar to the Tony Adams one shortly and serving a full calendar month with it, as I had agreed, just as soon as I can work out how to protect my current avatar, as I seem to have misplaced the original photo.

Glad that you are going to honour the bet and change your avatar.

The red eye back from the States is a killer tbf. I once got in my car at Heathrow and felt myself going on the M1 and pulled off at Watford Gap. I thought I'll have 20 minutes kip and plough on. I woke up 4 hours later!

Dogger ... you'll be back in 'the lads' team after that particular confession ...

Don't worry HIAG, your avatar is safe with me. I'm going to be busy producing cream, 7 days a week over the coming months, to keep up with demand, however you give me a shout when you want your avatar returned.

Shock horror .... Cornish Clive is 'closely' linked to HIAG ... whatever next <laugh> cut me legs off and call me Blaggins <laugh>

PS ... don't cut my legs off if that electronic gadget of HIAG's is directly underneath <ok>

I wouldn't normally do this ... but it's "You're" ... plus it's actually Trigonella foenum-graecum and Cannabis ...

PS Can you girls sort your Quote paramaters ... it's very confusing and could lead to me taking the piss out of the wrong person ...
