It has just been revealed by David Anderson of the Daily Mirror that Cellino was about to sack Monk. Only Antosson's late goal against Fleetwood saved him.

Garry Monk is fighting for his life at Leeds after just four games in charge with Massimo Cellino considering axeing him.

Cellino was ready to sack Monk before Antonsson's late goal against Fleetwood saved them and is losing confidence in the ex-Swans boss.

Has just been retweeted by Phil Hay with the words attached....

Jesus wept.

When was the last time the Daily Mirror wrote a Leeds piece that was worth reading, based on fact? They just make it up as they go along, and have a long history of doing so.

The Mirror to us should be as the Sun is to Liverpool - i.e. you shouldn't touch it with a bargepole, nor believe anything they print.

Someone tell me the last 'exclusive' they ran that turned out to be true. I doubt you'll be able to come up with anything in the last 10 years.

Who would have thunk it?
He will be gone in two weeks if we don't get a win.

Doesn't your finely tuned sense of reality make you think this is likely to be true?
You know how Cellino operates, and how he hasn't ever changed.

I hear what you're saying WJ, but it's not like our owner to fire a manager is it??

Just read the article online with the Mirror and I have to be honest, what a load of bollocks. We all know what Cellino is but after one game!!!

Phil Hay should be ashamed of himself for promoting the tweet, this extra pressure is not what Monk or the team need.

Cellino has granted three signings since the opening day defeat, he has allowed Monk to tell Murphy and Bamba they can go, they are not the kind of things that happen to a coach about to be shown the door.

I fully expect Monk to be given the boot if we find ourselves without a win in the next 3-4 games, I don't agree he should be and hopefully with the new signings it won't come to that.

I am a big critic of Cellino but I can't work out if I am more annoyed with the garbage written by the Mirror or Phil Hay for retweeting

Absolute cock end story. You dont give a bloke the job when you know half the fans want you to leave. You dont give him cash and let him bring in 10 new players and offload around 15 players. You would be a complete ****wit and even though Chipster is loving this it is a load of fooking diarrhea and the Mirror should be boycotted in Leeds as the Sun is in Liverpool. They have nothing to say about anything and are just about as commie as you can get. Fook off redtopcunts

I am not loving it.
But I am not prepared to dismiss it out of hand. Lots of you have said you think monk is standing up to Cellino so I can see him looking for an excuse to get shot.
If we lose the next two and monk is still here or he gets to the end of October regardless you will get the chance to say I got it wrong.

Absolutely spot on!!!!!

Monk needs time and he has a decent coaching team around him. Clotet is highly regarded and was wanted by other clubs as a manager. Lots of new players mean the overall team is still settling down, plus he had late notice for preseason preparation due to delays in appointing him and releasing Evans. We have a couple more additions in and possibly the striker to come from the hammers. I'm patient enough to give them more time. If he gets the sack within a few weeks, then I'll sack Leeds for the season. We need stability and more time to bed down. We have some slack, as we are looking for a run to the playoffs, not the title. Keep the faith MOT.

Cellino only gives people the boot when he's wearing his Gucci shoes.
