That is very true indeed. If it keeps up both old firm clubs will be in the draw with Linfield and the rest of the deadwood soon enough.

One win in 23 games , I actually thought it was more than 23 , lost without their Scottish refs

It is much better for the coefficient.

The Huns are more likely to win a couple of games in the YOOROPA league than they are in the CL. Positive results in europe are worth the same to the coefficient whatever competition the Huns are in.

    No tears here. **** them.

Incorrect fannybaws. The better the quality of opponent, the more coefficient points <ok>

You seriously think beating Barcelona in the CL is worth the same as beating some Moldovan outfit in the Europa?

There is more chances of you winning 2 or 3 Europa league games and advancing further in that competition than beating Barcelona, or anyone in the champions league ml. So chances are unless you get dumped out in the Europa qualifiers too, you will probably end up boosting the coefficient.

Still as a football fan I'd rather see my team play europes elite

The Jug is Scottish footballs level at the moment.

That's true anport, but the statement that coefficient points are the same regardless of opposition is ****e.

Edge, the jug is punching above our weight <grr> If it was Scottish football level then we should be seeing more 2nd level Scottish teams in the group stage, rather than it always just being the top level Scottish teams (Rangers followed by Celtic <whistle> ) It's a sad state of affairs, but hopefully with the young players at international level showing promise, our domestic game could hopefully start seeing an improvement. Until all Scottish teams start focussing on youth development the game will suffer.

But we do that already ML, think of the decent players that Rangers have produced in the past 10 years, indeed any Scottish side, then what happens? Then we hemorrhage (pardon the pun) any decent standard of player to Englands top 3 leagues, because the game is skint up here.

How can we redress the balance when the worlds 1st and 5th Richest leagues are on our doorstep?

We need to sign up youngsters on Jum McLean style 12 year contracts.

    Yes, I seriously think that.

I'll even post this handy link to the Uefa website to aid me in proving this point.

You can apologise by PM if you like, I can imagine how embarrassing it must be for you<ok>
