McGovern Klose & Bennett if they stay fit should be a defensive rock in this piss pot league .
That is very encouraging

I heard the first half was pretty crap, then I went swimming and missed the 2nd half. Was it any better? Anyone look sharp in particular?

If Josh looked bad again, did Canos look anything when he came on?

15 minute drive home, radio Norfolk didn't mention the score or result once! :emoticon-0137-clapp

Read above posts.

I did.

Pritchards injured.

McGovern was great because he didn't have a save to make all game again.

We haven't bought a striker.

Burton scored 3 against Wednesday.

Josh was bad.

Gonna make a good back page of the EDP Dunc.
McGovern made saves and didnt flap at crosses, kick out to a Bristol striker, give away a needless pen or do any other Ruddyesque things.

Anyway how was your dip in the watering hole ?
The cheek of Radio Norfolk and 5 live not to keep you up to speed after the 2 hour slot plus canary call.

Canos looked sharpe. Much stronger than Josh, more determined and tricky

I nearly just said "Oh that's good to hear" but it shows that maybe isn't quiet there.

It's strange that Josh played Championship football last season and got player of the season, Jacob had a season in League 1. Yet Jacob looked Championship ready.

Yes, some of the build was much better and we definitely need more of that on Sunday.
I'd definitely have Josh on the bench at most on Sunday, as he didn't seem to want to run at defences and he was not getting back and defending much.

Edit - I've just seen ths summary from AN and I think it is spot on - “First 10 minutes I thought we looked a bit tentative, which was perhaps a hangover from the weekend. We then settled down and played some good stuff and got the goal with Jonny. Alex Tettey hits the post and then in the second half we dominated most of the second half, hit the post again and had a few other opportunities. I thought we were fairly comfortable. The lads played well without being at their best but it was a good performance.”

It's all about the "W" and they got that, shame to here that Josh has struggled once again, but he's a talent and hopefully will find some form again. That said it sounds like Canos played well enough so bring on the binners!

COYY

Bah!

Happy enough with that. Seemed like a pretty strong last 20 minutes too, ensuring we didn't throw it away.

The Bristol manager was talking like they pretty much deserved a draw. Seen no articles saying it was even. I've read some that said 1-0 flattered them towards the end.
