Well fairy tales can actually happen. After hanging in there for bloody months without a success, Fabio has finally cracked it. Unbelievable. Who's the man then? It's old Fabulous himself. Congrats champ, I hope it tastes sweet mate. <applause> Reebs nearly spoiled the show with his 12:70 winner, but Fabio's two winners beat him by just 50p. Smoke was a bit stiff though, he had a 20-1 shot finish second on him. Doalittle & Paul managed a 6:30 each but the former took the bronze on count back. Red's 5:90 success saw him finish just off the pace. The rest of us struggled.

Again it has to be said that Sth has proved a worthy winner, his consistency was amazing. Congratulations on a wonderful year. <applause> Stick & Steveo added some serious depth to the comp with each of them nabbing seven victories. It's amazing to think that between the three of them, they won over 44% of the annual comps. Brilliant stuff. That's about it guys. Thanks for the support shown through the 12 months. <cheers>

Clear fourth ..... I'll settle for that! Thought Richard Pankhurst might have done it for me, but was let down buy the other flops!

Cyc, I believe you ought to revisit your decision to throw in the white towel. I have always seen your job to make us laugh, provide the odd snippet of erudite criticism on world matters and run competitions for all of us. Not doing the third of these will create a huge hole in your life, which may just tip you over into a world of low self-esteem and self-loathing. Please reconsider your decision for your sake.

<laugh> Onya Busty. After I did the first one a couple of years ago, I swore I'd never do another, but as you can see, I weakened. So it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if it started all over again at some time in the future.

well done Fabio ! great way to end things.
in fact probably the best win of all as you beat everyone on Saturday! (although I think the league format was one of the main reasons for the success of this comp)
