A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged internet hate campaign against Celtic boss Neil Lennon.
It is understood the 24-year-old allegedly created websites containing hate messages about the former Northern Ireland captain last season.
He was arrested in a joint operation between Strathclyde Police, Central Scotland Police and the newly formed Football Co-ordination Unit for Scotland.
The man, from Callander, is due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court today.
Superintendent David Brand, head of the unit, said: "I would advise anyone who has posted messages which are likely or intended to threaten violence or cause fear or alarm to any person to remove them immediately.
"This arrest today shows we are not only targeting those who post messages on the internet but those who seek to create internet hate sites.
"Please be warned: if you do post hatred over the internet you may not be arrested today but we will be paying you a visit some time in the future."
